What would you change about WDW if you had the chance

I would make it so that every child could experience it at least once.

I can dream can't I? :goodvibes

I'd revamp the whole Hester and Chester area at AK. That place is so cheap in comparison to the rest of AK as well as the other parks! The whole carnival atmosphere -- esp. the pay-to-play for cheesy stuffed toys game area is the anithesis of Disney! They could revamp that into something that's nicer in appearance and doesn't give off that carnie vibe. DS loves Primeval Whirl but I hate going into that area b/c of the trashy atmosphere!

I think about this a lot...

-Extend the Monorail to WL, DHS, AK
-Put back in Mr. Toad
-Take out all of the cheesy Dino-carnival-gagme section of AK
-Add in another park in AK (Beastly Kingdom sounded so great! why stop!)
-Put in something else in the Body Wars Building
-Add in another rollercoaster somewhere in the world. I always thought that a lilo and stitch one would be great and all it Hawiian Rollercoaster Ride incorperating that song
-Updating a lot of the rides.
-Having fasspasses only for resort guests (like universal)
-Have a Official Hidden Mickey tour or website, people get so confused on what is an actual Hidden Mickey and what is just three rocks sitting in their natural habitat

Oh, I could go on forever... but, I will control myself.:rotfl:

I would work w/the city of Orlando to install a monorail system for MCO service and also extend the monorail system throughout the Disney property to include all parks and, at least, the deluxe resorts.
That's been tried before. Disney couldn't work out the details because the city wanted the monorail to come through downtown...that kinda broke the deal.

1. Coffee is definitely something I'll agree on. Come on, where I'm from there are about 8 Starbucks every square mile not to mention the other local baristas around, why can't there at least be a few on WDW property?

2. Something to change the smells in the monorails.

3. A way to completely weed out the moocher's who aren't staying on WDW but staying for EMHs.

4. Better way to get around certain parks:
a) From the main entrance of EPCOT to the WS countries in the back
b) Around AK. They used to have those boats right, they should have one from The Oasis to Asia, simply for transportation.

5. As much as I love Universal Studios, it would be in Disney's best interest to attract the teenaged and adult crowds in having more thrill rides, an IOA like new park. There are people like me who love WDW but MK is one of my least favorite parks b/c it's more geared toward little ones and there are too many little one's in the park itself, lol.

6. Add a place to watch Disney classics in one or even some of the parks for free.

7. Transportation from DTD to the parks.

I would have a lot of adult only dining....rotate the popular restaurants so a few each night were for parties with no kids under 10.

I'd do something about all the people. :lmao: There are just too many people!! Then I'd put a dome over each park so it never rained or got over 72 degrees. Next I'd have transporters so you could beam to each park from your resort. How about recliners at Fantasmic and Spectromagic and Illuminations?

I definately put the DDP back to how it was in 2007.

I agree with getting rid of some of the older rides like Figment, Jungle Cruise. Sound Dangerous, People Mover, that stuff is totally a waste of space.

I would also redo some oldies but goodies (well they are not so goodie right now) such as Country Bears, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and The Muppets. They need to put something more current in those spots I am sure there are tons of kids out there that have no idea what Honey I Shrunk the Kids even is.

I like the Pixar stuff, I haven't seen the HSM show yet but there are a lot of kids who really enjoy the music, I have three living in my house right now.

I would like a refillable cup you could use at any of the theme parks as well as your hotel, how much trash would that cut down on.

Value Resorts have their own busses for each hotel, I am sorry standing while holding a sleeping 2 yr old is not fun!!!

add more variety to Character meals. There should be more for young boys to enjoy
How many people would love a star wars character meal
Or Power Rangers
Or Toy Story
Monsters Inc
Villians
Peter Pan including Wendy and Tinkerbell
Pirates

You would think Disney and Starbucks could come up with something :teacher: to make $$$ for both companies.

I would simplify all this nonsense about room ressies. Forget all this jumping through hoops and making 100 phone calls looking for a deal.

Price the hotels out as follows, regardless of time of year(lets face it, people go DW ALL times of the year.

Values, 99.00 a night
Mods, 139.00 a night
deluxes by size and location WL and AKL. 179.00

all other deluxes 199.00

Villas and suites 249-299, depending on size and number of beds.

Make it a first come first served basis. Treat everyone the same, you want a certain hotel, you pay that price. The we would never have to listen to the words, codes, pins, deals, discounts again.

Believe me, Disney would still make scads of money and fill tons of hotel rooms. , and everyone would be happy.

2 things, actually.

I would change the darn COFFEE!!!

and I would add a Value resort that would allow parties of 5. I don't even care if it is a LITTLE more than a normal Value, but not as much as a moderate. I like to go to WDW as cheaply as I can most times. Also, even at home, sometimes my 3 girls sleep in the bed. They are small and they like to be near each other. I know I could fit them in one bed at a value! But, I know, I know...fire regulations and all that, bla bla.
Or why can't they offer a little cot for an extra kid in a value? Like not a full size cot, but a small one. My 4yo is still in a toddler bed so she is used to tiny beds and I know you can fit a pack n play in a value...so why not a small cot for those with 3 small children?

Oh well. One can dream.

AK: Definately get rid of Chester and Hester but keep Primeval Whirl, and create another Dinosaur activity/ride for that spot...Build Beastly Kingdom. Add another coaster to AK

DHS: Another two coaster rides, turn this into the more teen/adult park. Leave the HSM and Hannah Montana Stuff..but also add Nightmare Before Christmas and Villans EVERYWHERE! Bring Back Hunchback show, get rid of Sounds Dangerous! Or do an Enchanted Show!

MK: Refurb Space Mountain, Indy Racetrack (CARS!!) , Country Bears, Bring Back Original Tikki Room, bring back Mr. Toad, (leave Pooh where it is) Pirates themed Restaurant in Adventureland, ooh I could go on....

Epcot: Bring back original Journey to Imagination,Add a new country or two to world showcase just for something new, bring a new concept to universe of energy, new concept/ride to Wonder of Life pavillion....etc

oh I could go on...I do agree with the retro rides coming back..While you definately want to appeal to kids, adults have the check books, and you have to appeal to their likes too,,,and retro is sooo in!

I would have a lot of adult only dining....rotate the popular restaurants so a few each night were for parties with no kids under 10.

I'd agree. The Happiest Place On Earth doesn't mean must have kids screaming and banging on the table at a nice restaurant! :rotfl: Those of us without kids present are like that for a reason ;)

Ok here's what I would change:

-Increase the hours of DAK to run till 9 or 10pm.
-Change the DDP back to tip & appetizer included.
-Bring back: Horizons, Wonders of Life, World of Motion (merged with Test Track), Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (in addition to Adventures of Winnie the Pooh), 20,000 Leagues, & the Skyway.
-Lower the prices of the deluxe resorts so I could afford to stay there more!:rotfl:
-Have the characters randomly walking around the park more (like they used to), instead of only having character meet and greets in one area.
-Add more viewing rooms for Soarin' so the line wouldn't be so long.
-Create a few more Cinderella's Castle suites and charge $2000/night or something with a waiting list so others can have a chance to stay there.
-Offer REAL coffee & cleaner tap water.

Most of these are probably not doable, but oh well ;)

I am assuming when you say change something about WDW that I have Genies "Phenomenal Cosmic Powers" So that I can move WDW to Australia so it doesn't cost $6000 in airfares for two people to get there :lmao: .

I would add a lot more resorts that accomodate more than a family of 4.
