Any speculation as to what will happen when most of the DVC contracts end some 39 years from now?

I find it hard to imagine that that will be the END. Although, who knows. My guess is that they will re-sell the contracts to new owners and re-sell or extend at a lower price to current owners.

Any rumors?

Speculation?

Or knowledge of the above?

This has been the subject of numerous threads over the years. Truthfully, no one knows, and I doubt even Disney has made a final decision. By contract, the properties revert to WDW, and they are free to do with them whatever they wish...turn them into regular resorts, demolish them, rebuild a new DVC, sell the property...whatever.

We will ride away in our wheel chairs or using our walkers into the sunset with many wonderful, magical Disney memories.

The folks who will make that decision are probably just entering or are just shy of their teen years.

Hopefully their families are current DVC members and they stand to INHERIT POINTS!

In my case I don't know if I should be worried about it. I'll only be 99.:jester:
