What was your first concert...and your most recent?

My first concert was Prince's Purple Rain tour and my last one was Bon Jovi's Have a Nice Day tour.

My first concert was Andy Gibbs. (I'm a dinasour)
OMG! So was mine! No kidding! Was probably back around 1979 or so. LOL!

My last one? Hmmmm...was probably Lucinda Williams a couple of years ago.

I think my first concert was Pat Benatar in 1982 or '83 and the most current was Heart @ Universal Orlando in April.

First concert was Shaun Cassidy when I was 11. Yikes!

Most recent? Kansas when I was pregnant with my oldest.

Even though I'd been to quite a few concerts, I never really saw anyone before they 'made it big'.

However, my siblings managed, cooked and worked at My Father's Place in NY. I can't tell you how many backstage passes adorned bedroom walls in my mom's house. My older brother frequently would go out the next morning and buy an album based on what he heard the previous night. Many of those went on to make it big. The Police, Blondie (already on their way), George Thorogood, and many others.

One memory that happened out of that was that I got to play "Heart and Soul" with Jonathan Edwards of 'Sunshine' fame. I'd just learned it (I think I was 9) and he was more than willing to play it with me.

My first concert was Journey back in 85 or 86. When Randy Jackson was in the band. :rotfl:

Most recent - last year DW MeanLaureen and I went to see Duran Duran. We will be going to the AI concert next month

Oh, and Poonatic..Lauri's first concert was also Shaun Cassidy

Now my most recent is Nine Inch Nails. I couldn't decide if I liked watching the band or the crowd more. It was a great show though.

First concert - Whitesnake with Great White 1987. Last concert - Big Daddy Weave 9/05 Next concert - Third Day 7/1/06

When I was about 14 my dad took me to see Brooks & Dunn and Martina McBride. That was during my country phase.

My most recent concert was a couple of years ago. I saw Hoobastank at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando. It was taped for MTV so if you watched that episode you probably saw me in the crowd. We (my brother and I) were in the very front and we both got to shake Doug Robb's hand (I nearly swooned) and my brother got one of Chris's drumsticks that he used during the concert.

First - Lovin' Spoonful in 1967
Last - John Prine in 2005

First: The Beach Boys in 1974 or 75. We followed them back to the Plaza hotel in New Haven and Dennis Wilson (the cute beach boy) signed my arm and tried to buy me a drink. (I was 13 or 14). Thankfully another adult with him stopped him because I was mesmorized my him and would have had that drink (no judgement). Needless to say, I was the most popular girl at school on Monday, but eventually I had to wash that arm! :confused3

Last: Embarrasing to say, it was Garth Brooks about 1995. I don't get out much anymore! Also the same year not sure if before or after...Van Halen with Sammy Hagar, who is not the same as David Lee Roth. I caught Eddie Van Halen's sweat band. (still have it!)

ROCK ON!

First concert was when I was 16; Rolling Stones in NJ.

Most recent concert (40th birthday gift Dec 2005); Andrea Bocelli.

My first concert was Hall and Oates (when I was 11, back in the '80s), and my most recent was Rob Thomas (last week) (I've seen him on this tour 5 times-- excellent).

I can't think of anyone I've seen before they hit it big. We almost saw Matchbox Twenty at a bar down the shore right after their first cd came out, but weren't able to get there-- and almost doesn't really count. Boy, did we regret that-- I didn't realize what a huge fan of them I would become.

I did see Rob (solo) last year at a very small venue in Philadelphia (before he went on his main tour) and was in the first row for a video that was filmed and used last year at the beginning of every basketball game during the NBA Finals.

I'm editing because I just thought of some people I saw before they were big. I saw Aimee Mann when Til Tuesday first got together and filled in for Big Country opening for Hall and Oates. I saw Melissa Etheridge when she opened for Sting (though she was getting pretty popular by then).

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am 31 and have never been to a concert.

First concert was the Osmonds brothers in 1971.

Last one was Backstreet Boys last summer.
And I must say it was one of the best concerts i went to!

The first concert I went to was the in 1964 I was 14 and I went to see The BEATLES!

My latest was last summer (2005) when the Backstreet boys made their comeback after a 5 year hiatus.
I been to many concerts, But I only appeared on stage with a famous group once.

On November 7,1999 we (my DD almost 16 years at the time and I) were guests backstage in the Hospitality room (where usually only friends and family of the Backstreet Boys are invited and we (DD and I were invited onstage with The Backstreet Boys while they sang their "Perfect Fan" song.

How we got to meet The Backstreet Boys

My daughter (Cathy, whose 16 birthday was November 12,1999) and I were going to see The Backstreet Boys on Saturday, November 6th at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Well, when we were at The Backstreet Boys concert on Sunday, October 17th in Vegas I met Marc Preston who was Howie's (one of the Backstreet Boys) bodyguard. Marc was the person who before each of the shows (that year) would choose 5 mothers and daughters to go up onstage during the song "The Perfect Fan" which the guys dedicate to the mothers.

When we were in Vegas I told Marc we were going to the Michigan concert in November and asked if Cathy and I could go on stage for that song.
Marc gave me his cell # and told me to call him that night.

When I called Marc he said the radio station had chosen the guests for that night but told us to enjoy the concert that night and he would put us onstage the following night.
We told him we did not have tickets for the following night.
Marc told us to come early and call his cell. We met him by the backstage door and he put us in the hospitality room. He said normally only the family members and very close friends of the band were allowed in that room. Cathy and I got to meet AJ, Nick, (he used to be her favorite) and Howie backstage and had her photo taken with them.

Cathy and I went onstage with Kevin. We sat on steps up onstage while each of the guys introduced the moms and daughters. Kevin smiled at Cathy and made some small talk. He made Cathy feel so special. Then the moms sat on the steps while each of the guys walked a girl around the stage while signing "Perfect Fan."
Cathy got to walk with Kevin Richardson (he worked at WDW before he became a Backstreet Boy as Aladdin). After the song the guys came back for the moms and walked all of us offstage. When Kevin walked Cathy offstage he gave her a long hug, brushed her hair back and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She was in HEAVEN. :goodvibes Kevin had given her a kiss. What a wonderful sweet 16 memory! :thumbsup2

okay Linda- I'm jealous! :rotfl2:

that sounds fantastic!!! what a special sweet 16 your DD had! :goodvibes

wasn't their concert great.!
everyone was singing along with them.
it felt like everyone was remincising(s?)
and the guys looked like they were having as much fun as we were! :)

poohnatic I loved MY Father"s Place!!!!! I used to go all the time in the late 70's. I even have pictures of different acts I photographed there, unless my mother threw them out. One of these days I have to go rumage around in her storage room.

I think my first concert was Led Zepplin in 1973 or 74.

My last ones really don't count because I really didn't watch more than a song or two. I did sit and watch almost all of a Nine Inch Nails show, so I'll say that was my last one.
