What was your first car?

1983 Toyota Tercel hatchback- "The Superfly" :car:

I taught myself how to drive it- it took a while for me to learn the stickshift but it was great.

1988 Suzuki Samurai, soft top, dark metallic teal. I loved driving around topless with my hair blowing in the wind. I thought I was the stuff back in those days. I would have kept that car forever. But, one sad evening it caught fire while driving down the freeway. Never ran again.

My first car was a '78 'vette

Chevette that is........ green hatchback with an air conditioner that worked if you hit the dashboard in just the right spot.

If you are driving around topless, your hair is not the only thing blowing in the wind. :rotfl2:

A red 1985 Toyota Corolla SR5 with a sunroof, AC & a cassette palyer.

And I was hot! ;)

Great car! Kept it 13 years!!!!

1969 VW Bug. Stick shift. Drove that car until the engine literally fell apart. I still miss it!

My first car was a 76 SuperBeetle. Loved that car to death.....bright orange with a sunroof and no heat!

I delivered many a pizza in that car, gas mileage was awesome. I too miss my bug!

I had a 1964 Ford Falcon--three on the tree! I have very fond memories of that car, but I wouldn't want it back. . . :goodvibes

A 1967 Dodge Dart 2 door slant 6 in lovely pea green. I loved that car. Spent many a night just cruisin around w/ my friends. Had my bil add the custom "8 track" for the tunes.

My brother totaled it into a tree and telephone pole about a year after I got it.

2nd car was a beauty....1976 Buick Century 2 door mustard yellow with a brown roof. That sucker could fly. It was a tank and I felt very safe in it. Had it up to 110 mph on the highway once and but backed off because I got scared. :lmao: I wouldn't even think of going 110 mph now. :moped:

'69 Cutlass, eight cylinder - that car was so fast I needed two feet on the brake pedal!!

mine was dark green, black vinyl top, black interior - what a hot car!

(I got it used from my brother in law around 1976)

Oh, and I learned to drive in a '63 Valiant that had a push button transmission!! :teeth:

it was light green, just like this one - no power anything!

I forgot what year, in the 70's VW SuperBettle International Orange color!

Hated it!

83 Maroon Mercury Lynx Sport. Loved my little 5-speed. Open the sunroof, roll all the windows down, crank up the stereo and drive the heck out of that car.

The date was June 18 1975, I'd been driving the old 1966 Impala my parents didn't use anymore....I had just graduated from high school. Here is a photo of an Impala.......

I saved up money from working for $1.60 an hour at KMart and bought a 1970 Ford Maverick. I loved that car :goodvibes I still have the invoice, I paid $1180. The car had 66,058 miles on it, but was in excellent condition. It was red like the one in this old ad.

Oh, I love both of your cars!!

My first car was a silver 86 Mazda RX7. I bought it in 1992 when I turned 18. I had to learn how to drive a stick just so that I could drive that car. It came in handy though. Every car that I've had since then has been a stick.
