What was your favourite breakfast as a child?

super "sugar" crisp cereal. that was a very special treat in my house when I was little lol..... now it's "golden" crisp I think...

Cereal- Cap'n crunch went between crunch berries and peanut butter

Homemade-- hot homemade biscuits with butter and jelly

French Toast, and the rare days we had homemade Blueberry Muffins.

On the savory side, Thomas English Muffins. For a short stretch, we did Steak'ums. Today I would never touch a Steak'um.

I used to love Carnation Breakfast bars.

French toast was my favorite if something was cooked. I've tried to recreate it and wasn't anything fancy, but just doesn't taste the same.

Cereal.
Never really liked the plain one, but usually honey/sugery ones, like Frosted flakes, Honey pops, cheerio's.

Or bread (sandwiches), with either chocolate spread (where I'm from it's for breakfast really) or with, we have this quite thick syrop thing made from apples & pears (also use it to put on pancakes).

Pane con Latte (pane con caffeelatte) - this was our version of cereal way back when growing up in Italy and for many years in the U.S.

We had espresso for coffee - not "american coffee. You warmed up milk and put a little espresso in it (like regular coffee here/but more milk/espresso is stronger) and poured in bowl. We would break up day old/left over bread and throw it in. We might add a drop of cinnamon and sugar.
