What was the First Table Service Restaurant...

I'm pretty sure our first meal was LTT for lunch. I had the crab dip, pilgrims feast and the fruit crisp. My DH had pot roast and ooey gooey toffee cake.

It's now a tradition that we have lunch or dinner there at least once during a trip.

CRT, when I was 10 and my sister was 4 (1988). It wasn't called that then. And it was a character meal more like Akershus. I think it was called King Stefan's Royal Banquet Hall, which of course is funny because King Stefan is from Sleeping Beauty, not Cinderella. I remember meeting Snow White, one of the villains (I think Queen Grimhilde from Snow White) and an animal character ... maybe Robin Hood.

No one in my family has ever been back.

I traveled to WDW when I was probably 4, then again at 8, 10, and 11. I don't recall eating on property much. We are a family of 7, so my parents always stayed offsite either in Daytona Beach, driving up for a few days, or near Kissimmee, so we seldom ate in the parks... But I remember eating breakfast with Pooh (I think it was at CP) and then maybe at Chef Mickeys!?

We went back to CP on our most recent trip because I remembered it from when I was younger (I think it was CP anyways!!) and I wanted to re-live it, I love Pooh!

My first was Ohana breakfast and I loved it! I thought it had great characters and great food. It was a last minute edition to our trip and I'm so glad we added it.:)

I would love to go again on my upcoming trip but my sister insists on trying something new.

Biergarten in 80's at 9 or 12 (not sure which trip) though I'm not sure that it was TS back then, and I only vaguely remember it. We did try it on our first family trip last year and it was a hit for 3 out of 4. I would definitely go again, but DS would take convincing. :)

Although I have been going to Disney for over a decade before I met DH, the first restaurant we went to together was Boma. I had never been and he was willing to try it. We have gone every year on our wedding anniversary - which is tough some years since we live in NJ! :cool1:

But we do not go every trip. We find we don't enjoy buffets during August!

My first was Rose & Crown in '85 when you made your reservation that morning under Spaceship Earth by talking on a 2-way tv screen to reservations. Been back more than 10 times. I've had nearly everything on the menu and have eaten in the bar a couple of times.

Liberty Tree Tavern, and CRT back in the early 90's when I was maybe 7-8. I remember the food not being very good. I still have yet to go back to either one.

The 1st restaurant we went to was Chef Mickeys Village Restaurant back in 1994 when it was located in the Marketplace. It was so cute. Chef Mickey was the only character and it was not a buffet. When Chef Mickey's moved to the CR we went every trip for many years but its been off our list for 5 or 6 years now.

The first table service restaurant I ate at was Liberty Tree Tavern at MK in Feb. 2011. My mom, stepdad and I walked up (so naive of us!) and wound up waiting about an hour for a table. Wasn't a big deal back then, we didn't mind waiting, but had I known about how to plan a WDW trip back then, I would have made reservations well in advance.

Did you love it/hate it?
We loved it. They had this delicious jalapeno cheddar soup that was to die for; we wound up getting the last two bowls of it. I've gone back since then, but they don't serve it anymore. :sad1: We did try the ooey gooey toffee cake, and were hooked.

Did it become a family tradition?
I've been back since, on a solo trip in November 2012, but since the opening of BOG, I haven't been back, and simply opt for CHH nearby for QS instead.

Do you refuse to go within a hundred feet of the place?
I'd go back if I weren't on the QSDP this upcoming trip, and I do recommend it, especially compared to the other table service restaurants in MK (Tony's, etc). I like the hearty, All-American, stick-to-your-ribs meals they serve there. Sometimes, it's just nice to have comfort food from home, if you know what I mean.

Yep, spent many times there too...lot of flashbacks here, awesome!!!

Honestly I'm not sure. My first trip was in 2009 so not even that long ago but I can't for the life of me remember what we did first, first park, resteraunt, any of that.

Chef Mickey's was our first table service restaurant in 2002. Even though it has gone down hill my family still insists upon eating there every trip.

I can't remember exactly but I know on my first trip we ate at CP and the old CM at the old Marketplace(i think) and at HDDR.
