The first movie DS saw in a theater was Muppet Treasure Island. He doesn't care for the Muppets, but I had to buy that movie because it was his first! :teeth:

It was out in 1996, so DS was about 3.

DD-Cliffhanger. She was about 4 months old.;) DS-That Volcano one with Pierce Brosnan (was that called Volcano or was it the other one:confused: ). He was about 6 months old.

They don't remember the movie.;)

102 Dalmations. Seem like she was 2yo. She was born in '94 and I can't remember when that came out. We had special tickets for the first showing in Knoxville. She was given a lanyard & some extra stuff. It was very cool. She loved the movie too. :)

I took my DD to see Fried Green Tomatoes at the $1 theater when she was about 1 1/2 yrs old. She sat totally transfixed staring at the screen. She LOVES movies :D

The Lion King, when DS was about 3. He's 12 now and still loves that movie (though he won't admit it to anyone but me).

<font color=navy>With DS, it was the Fox & the Hound in one of its generational re-releases. I took DD to see the Little Mermaid when it first came out.

The first feature my dd sat through, though, was 101 Dalmations. The rascals were little, and they just loved that movie in the theater. :)

Lion King. We actually did it twice. First time, DD (who was about 18 months) didn't sit through it. We tried again at the discount theater, and she watched the whole thing!

Boy this is a tough one..

I want to say I think it was Bugs Life for my son... when it first came out.

My DD I think it was Tarzan.

The local movie theater used to run older movies for free in the summer.. they were older movies.. but still fun to see on the bigger screen. , my kids learned movie manners that way.

I don't have kids yet but the first movie my mom took me to was Snow White!!! I remember like it was yesterday......

Thanks, CS.:) I get those 2 movie titles confused for some reason.:) I think they both came out at the same time or something. It was Dante's Peak.:)

We took DS to see ET when he was ~18 mos - his request. (Never again trusted my older sister's review of what was fit for kids!) It was too dark & he watched the entire movie through his fingers, but didn't want to leave the theater. ;)

DD was a much louder, active little bugger. We couldn't take her to the regular movies when she was little. We did take her to a "Family Night" that they had at DS's school to see Beauty & the Beast.

DS8's first movie was Barney's Great Adventure. We were the only two in the theatre....it was a bit unsettling.

DS3's first movie was the Wild Thornberry's -- his older brothers pick. About 1/2 way through, he was ready to leave. But, he did tell us he wants a TV that size at home. He loved the popcorn!

The first movie we took DD to see was Toy Story 2. But we didn't actually get to watch it she cried and screamed as soon as we walked in the theater so we left. We tried again a year later with Rugrats In Paris. She loved it!!!!

Beauty and the Beast - I think she was about 3 years old.
