What type of water do you mainly drink at your home?

Ewk!! I did the same thing when I was a kid! My grandparents live on a farm with lots of animals. When we studied water in Science class, I was so "grossed out" and refused to drink any of their water! I never did, ever!

P.S. After we studied eggs and hatched some, I never ate eggs again, and STILL haven't!

We have had a water softener for about 9 years. We love it and think our water tastes so much better than regular tap water.

we just drink the fridge fliter kind...............we do buy bottles for on the go but I prefer the tap.

I read an expose somewhere that said that some bottled waters are just filtered tap water anyway.

Anyone use Brita with well water? We have yucky well water, a little colored, metalic tasting, etc... I can't get it down. How well does Brita work with well water? I opened it already so hopefully it works well before this we use to buy a ton of bottled water.

I drink tap because my palette is quite unsophistocated. Tastes great coming right out of the door of the fridge. But my DW is a devoted fan of bottled water - I can't remember the brand, but it comes in a blue bottle.

Anyway, I was absolutely convinced that she was crazy when she said she could tell the difference between bottled and tap water. So I bet her $10 that she couldn't tell the difference if it were in glasses. So ... I poured up a glass of bottled and tap and ... she got it right.

I figured she just guessed right, so I did it again, double or nothing. She got it again. Double again, and she got it right again. By this time I was out of money, so I suspended the betting part, but we tried several times again, and she was right on the money every time. Heck, I even tried to cheat by pouring tap into both glasses, and she nailed me.

Before that, I would have guessed anyone who preferred bottled water was just being snooty. But I have been schooled.
