Any suggestions on what to do the first day we get there? Our plan is leaving the airport at 6:50 and we get in around 10:30. I figure by the time we get our luggage and then get there it should be around lunch time.

Eat first? Park first? Pool first? Downtown Disney first? I am open to any suggestions!!

Thanks in advance!!:earsgirl: :earsboy:

What type of entrance ticket will you be using, and how long are you staying?

It can make a difference in the planning . . . . .

We have the ultimate hopper pass. This will enable us to go to all the parks and then some unlimited amount of time during the duration of our stay.

We wil be staying at CBR.

Go straight to the Magic Kingdom as fast as you can!

There is nothing that says that you have arrived at WDW like walking down Main Street and seeing the Castle:D :D

It's always the first thing we do.

We're just back and on our first day we arrived about the same time as your plan calls for.

We always have to start our first day @ the MK. Just have to walk down Main Street to get the Magic experience. We ate at the Plaza to start our first dining experience.

Just can't beat that to begin a magical trip. :p

Check in. Drop off laugage if room is not ready. Hit a park. Epcot might not be busy in the Future World by then everyone startes to move to the World Show Case. If your room is ready check it out and unpack if it is to your liking. Then grab a bite and swim or head on out to your favorite park.

My #1DD had Small Fry Grilled Cheese, #2DD had the Small Fry Two Mini-Burgers, both with fries.

My DH & I split a Plaza Club with fries. It was plenty for both of us and we all felt the food was very good. Service was excellent. Very enjoyable experience.

That was pretty much our time table, we checked in at CBR hit the grocery store had lunch at McD's and then got to MGM about 1pm. We had 5:30 Fantasmic Dinner Ressies at Hollywood and Vine. We rode everything we wanted to by 5:15, went to dinner, after dinner went to Indy Jones show, went back to R&R roller coaster and TOT for one more ride each and then went to Fantasmic at 8:30. I am so glad we did because the next night was e-night and those were the only 2 nights that it wasn't a thunderstorm!

On a longer trip, I would usually spend the first day at the pool and then going to either Downtown Disney or another Resort for Dinner and spend the evening there. On a shorter trip, it's straight to the parks.

I too will have a similar arrival schedule when I go. I'm planning to eat lunch in the food court at the resort, go to MGM and hopefully take in a few rides, then spend the evening walking around the Boardwalk and maybe do dinner somewhere around there - Dolphin Fountain, Spoodles, ESPN, or even the hot dog stand depending on what looks good. Then maybe take in either Fantasmic at MGM or Illuminations at Epcot if there's time since they're both a short walk or boat ride from the Boardwalk.

I would go to MK first as has been suggested, but I like to take that in first thing in the morning at rope drop.

Whatever you decide to do, just have fun and enjoy being there!

I think a lot depends on the ticket type. If you are on UPH or annual pass, I'd go to a park. However if you are on hoppers-- I wouldn't. With those times, being up in the middle of the night to get to the airport for security checks. We'd probably be to tired to enjoy a full day of activities. We usually hit up the Boardwalk and Beach's n Cream to get us in the mood. On our last trip we checked out the gift shops in the Swan and Dolphin too. We bought a couple things to officially kick off the trip. We usually go to bed early the first night-- since we were up early. Then we head to MK the next morning. I like to do MK first and be there first thing.

We like to hit the resort pool as soon as we get checked in. Then it's eating at Beaches & Cream or maybe the Land food court, followed by an evening at World Showcase & Illuminations. We then head back to the room & unpack before calling it a night. This is our favorite way to get the magic started!

That is very similar to our time schedule, we have PS at Chef Mickey's for 11:15am. After that, what we will probably do is take a spin in the front of the monorail and then head to Ak for some leisurely strolling. That way on AK EE we can hit the rides and then on to other parks. Then, since Ak closes early, we will head to MK to catch Spectro and FITS and maybe aride or two.

My family sort of has this first day ritual and even though I'm not going with them, going with my fiance so soon-to-be family, I'll still stick to our ritual. We always book a morning flight so we'll get into MCO around 9am. After dropping our stuff off at the room or storing it we head right to MK and have lunch around 2 at LTT. Also part of this ritual is the Hoop Dee Doo. This time we are going to the 7 show (can't remember exactly what time). And if the MK is open after the show is over we head back to see Spectro or squeeze in a few rides. I can't imagine going without participating in this ritual. It really gets me excited for the rest of the trip.

When you get there and if your room isn't ready I'd go to Down Town Disney. I can have lunch, shop, and have a milk shake at Ghirardelli. Then if the sun is boiling when your room is ready hit the pool. That night I would suggest MK unless the next is an E-Night.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Because you will have UPHs, I would go to a park. I don't think you mentioned when you are arriving. The day of the week you are arriving on makes a difference, also the season. No way would I show up at MK on a Saturday around noon. Midweek, during the off season--MK for sure!

On our first day,we usually arrive in the morning and head to Future World. When we're hungry, we just wander over to World Showcase.
