I hope this is the right spot to post this...........We are heading to Disney again the first week of Aug. and it is a surprise trip for our kids (DS 9, DD 8, DD4). :earboy2: My kids LOOOVE everything disney and this will be there third trip. I'm just wondering what everyone else does for there diskids to surprise them. In the past we haven't really done anything "magical" for the trip but I want to make this trip extra special!! I love to papercraft and scrapbook so any extra "magical" ideas I can make would be great!! Thanks!!!!

I know Dolly has some Amazing things - I'm sure she'll post - OR just check for her thread.

But, you could do invites, welcome letters, welcome basket, shirts, totes, towels, cups, autograph books, passports, journals, coupons, there are TONS of things...............

I'm sure others will post............ mine was just a start!!!! :goodvibes

Woooo a surprise trip is sooo much fun to plan...you can click on my below links to see some of the things i put together for the boys surprise trip in 08...happy planning and it'll be here before you know it!

Here are a few great places to look:

This is a thread where people post pictures and list things that they make for their trips:

Here is a thread for a "Mickey's Grand Welcome" if you want to decorate their room from Mickey, Tink or the Princesses:

Look in Mel's thread for candy wrappers/pockets:

Also, look at Telynn's

There are lots of fun ways to announce the surprise. I like wrapping a big box and hiding helium filled mylar balloons inside with an note attached to the string of one of the balloons. Then your surprise announcement is just like the Disney commercial. Make sure you do this inside so that your balloons don't float away!

You could also go buy yarn in different colors...one for each child and string them all over your back yard with the surprise note at the end or different words about the surprise along the way, like "We" "Are" "Going", etc.

Some people love to wake them up and when they get to the airport hand them a present with a t-shirt inside saying "surprise we are going to Disney".

You could also decorate each child's room with fun banners, balloons and presents of things for Disney either as they sleep...so they wake up to all the excitement or while they are at school or out of the house.

That should get you started! Hope your trip is extra magical!

Thanks for all the help!!!! I am always so excited to plan our trips to Disney and everyone think I'm nuts!! We have done a surprise trip before but Santa brought it so I needed all this great advice! Thanks again!
