Okay Tipsters -

I have been reading this board and taking TONS of notes! I decided to come to the experts for some more advice.

My husband and I are taking my 4 yr old son for his first visit to DW. We leave in just 11 days!!!! :cheer2:

I ordered a Columbia fanny pack online. We received it yesterday, and the compartments aren't as big as I anticipated. Since I analyze and plan everything . . . I'm trying to decide if this is enough for us to carry what we need while visiting the parks each day or if we should buy another fanny pack for my husband. We are staying at the All Star Movie resort, but don't plan to make many trips back to our hotel during the day unless necessary.

The question: what are your must haves when you are on park? What can't you live without that you always carry with you?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

We always take camera, extra film, digital camera, water, autograph book and pen, rain ponchos, cell phone, sun screen, roll of quarters for the pressed penny machines. Thats all I can think of right now. HTH

I always take my ID everywhere just in case it's needed for something. I also usually carry ibuprofen (and my pills for vertigo in case I get dizzy). And usually many of the previously posted items.

I carry water/snacks, 2 digital cameras (1 tiny one and 1 big one), 1 MiniDV camcorder, a towel, ziplock bags, cell phone, sunscreen, hats, chapstick, money, IDs, extra batteries, extra media (memory and MiniDV tapes). I put all of this in backpack that has one strap. It's pretty cool in that the strap goes across my chest and it's padded. It will never fall off

It can get kinda hot on my back but at anytime I can just sling it over my shoulder or set it down (when riding rides).

So far it's worked out great for my family (3 of us)

My must haves for the park are: My wallet, baby wipes, antibacterial gel, bandaids, change of clothes and undies for the kids, tissues, chapstick, oil blotting sheets (for my face) sunblock, sippy cups, camera and extra battery. That's all I can think of right now. I carry w/ me a Vera Bradley backpack and it all fits.

Band Aids, Moleskin, Brita filter bottle, washcloth, ID, passes, poncohos, 2 gal ziplock bag, credit card, suncreen, digital camera, pain reliever, dramamine, quarters and pennies, radio, cell phone and small planner. This goes in my Eagle Creek Parent Survival backpack. It is like a back pack diaper bag.

Remember whatever size bag you have or take with you---you can always put a bag in the stroller with your son. We didn't get a stroller the first couple of days and we had to tug him everywhere. By Day 3 we learned that it was much easier for him to get in and out of that thing and us to push it---and it gave us room for the backpack too.

We took bandaids, wet handwipes (which really came in handy cause my son is a tongue licker around his mouth HA HA-imagine those Mickey Mouse ice creams with that chocolate smeared from one of my son's ear to the other), frozen water bottles and frozen juice packs. Camera, jackets if you plan on staying into the evening, sunblock for the day and ponchos for wet weather (which we forgot back at the hotel this trip and we got soaked!), autograph book and pen and that's about it for us. Have fun!
