So after spinning ourselves silly and seeing Pooh bear, we continued through Fantasyland. As expected, the line for this
was over an hour.
So where would we go? Well, I promise Mark that I will take a slow boat to China once per trip and this was as good of time as any since it was still raining out.
(these might be out of order as I kept switching between my phone and my camera)
We exited the ride and discussed where to head next as we were walking up the ramp. We thought we'd try to see how the Little Mermaid looked as with the rain we figured Big Thunder Mountain, etc., would not be running.
Well we no sooner got outside and the skies opened. And it didn't look like it was going to end soon. So at 8:30 p.m. we decided our best bet was to head to the exit and go back to the resort.
We got as far as the train station, and this happened:
After 40 minutes, we decided to make a run for it to the bus stop. And when we got there, we were saturated all the way through. While waiting for our bus:
This reminded me of the rain Mary and I experienced in June on our girls trip, but worse. We got on the bus and the bus driver, thankfully, turned the air off as we were all drenched. I gave up my seat to a woman with her baby and we started back to the resort. We ended up with a driver who had only been to OKW once before. So instead of a 20-25 minute trip to our resort, it took over 45 minutes.
We got back to our room, took warm showers and put on the tube for awhile. We saw on the news that there was a lot of flooding around the area because the rain was still coming down. So we missed the Electrical Parade, Wishes and EMH's. But we still had five days at Disney and had lots to still do.
Up next, our Animal Kingdom morning and two, yep I said TWO, Dismeets.
