Glad your back safe and sound.

Thanks Pooh. I'd be lying if I said it's good to be back, but I wish I was still on vacation. You wait forever for it to get here, then it just flies by. This is our only vacation for the year. We're going to start saving and preparing to go back to WDW next year. We're looking at going in early December of 2012.

I hope everyone had a good time! How was Vegas? Win or lose? Hope you won! Eat at any good places?

It was just DW and I, and we had a fabulous time. Wish the weather would've been a little better in San Diego. It was sunny each day in Vegas, but windy most of the time. We made the best of it though and still had a lot of fun. We lost our, you know what's, off. Usually we can do pretty decently, but not this time.

DW and I met up with Kar and her husband while we were in San Diego (Carlsbad actually). We went to eat at Gregorio's. This place was really good. Excellent recommendation on Kar's part. Nothing special in Vegas. Did the Buffet of Buffet's at one point to help conserve some funds. Did our usual trip to Hard Rock Cafe and Margaritaville. Tried a couple of new places in Vegas this trip. BLT Burger inside the Mirage (where we stayed) and The Cheesecake Factory inside Caesar's. We really enjoyed the food at the CF. BLT Burger was just ok in my opinion. Overall it was nice and relaxing vacation.

We had a wonderful Easter. We celebrated the day before Easter with family, so Easter Sunday was a quiet, relaxing day for my husband and me. We spent the morning exploring Sabino Canyon, a beautiful area not far from our house, then had a nice lunch outside. Weather was in the mid-80s with sunshine and a light breeze. Our younger daughter came up in the evening and we watched the newest Harry Potter movie.

Glad to hear you had a relaxing Easter. DMIL just bought us the new HP movie. We saw it when it came out in the theaters. Can hardly wait to see part 2. I'll be sad when it comes out though, because I know it's the last one and the series ends. I've really enjoyed watching all the characters grow up.

WOW! It's actually snowing here. I know it's funny to see me get excited about the snow, but it's been so dry around here, that this is actually a welcome site. Don't know how long it will last, but good to see some moisture in our area. With the way things have been going lately, this may be the only moisture we see for a long while. Only bad thing, is we still have the winds along with it.

Trust me, we would love to have it.

Not this past winter, but the winter before, we got a bunch of snow. This past winter, we probably only got about a 1/4 of snow from the winter before. Starting to get into severe drought conditions over here. There is one city in the southern part of the state that hasn't received any measurable moisture for close to 200 days now.

Well the snow was nice while it lasted. I kinda figured it wouldn't last too long. Seems to be our weather pattern this year. All the clouds have cleared out and the sun has come out.

2:39 pm. Still windy as heck and it's up to 55 degrees. Wind chill making it feel like 49.

It's supposed to be a beautiful day here. They say the winds are supposed to die down. I'll believe it when I see it. Just for today though. Supposed to get really windy again tomorrow and on into the weekend. It is cold this morning though. Only 30 degrees when I got up for work this morning.

Don't you just hate that! Of course, we always go with the idea that we're going to lose, but it's nice when that doesn't happen! I even don't mind losing (not TOO much anyway) as long as I feel I've gotten my money's worth in playing time. If I can play the slots for a few hours and break even, it's all good.

Nice to hear that your temps are climbing higher. If I could share some of this sunshine with you folks back East, I would! And, it won't be long before I'll be more than happy to send some of our 90/100+ degree days your way.

11:20 am temp is 87 degrees feels like 93. i'm in Palm Springs Fl. By 2pm it will be scorching thank goodness for the free water park/splash pad within walking distance of our house!

Gross, crappy, cold, windy, awful-it is May, right . This is the worst spring I can remember ever having. It's freaking 34 degrees out--it SHOULD be in the mid 60's.
