What time does it get dark??

Was wondering if anyone can tell me what time does it get dark in December? We are thinking about doing the CP in Epcot at 5:00 p.m. and want to know if it will be dark at that time? Is it better to see CP when it is totally dark outside or is the 5:00 p.m. show okay. Will have 3 children with us (ages 8, 8 & 4) and have an ADR for Garden Grill at 7:00 p.m.

You can find this kind of info in seconds for anywhere on earth.
Just Google for "sundown time" and choose a site.
You can then check for any date and location (Orlando, FL).

It won't be dark at 5:00. In Orlando in December, the sun sets at about 5:30. And remember that it's still light for a while after the sun sets. From an astronomical standpoint, there are at least glimmers of light for about an hour and a half, but by common standards it will seem pretty dark about an hour after sunset.

Like 85-95% of the "outdoor" parts of WDW, this show is a different experience in the dark.

I prefer it in the dark.

It should be completely dark by around 5:30 or 6:00pm.
