What time do the parks start serving alcohol?

I tried searching but couldn't find any answers on what time the disney parks start serving alcohol. We plan on spending a half day at the Animal Kingdom this trip, mostly to see Pandora, and will most likely be gone by lunch. I assume they would start serving at noon, so I imagine I won't be able to try the margarita at Pongu Pongu in the morning? However, they open at 9am, so...

I think the Dawa Bar has opened as early as 9am (though it says is opens at 10 now), so it's possible Pongu Pongu will be serving at 9. It would be weird to open and only sell 1/4 of the menu, IMO.

... when they open? I don't think there are any liquor laws prohibiting sale before/after a certain hour...

A PP cleared up the legality issue in FL. I know I've had Bloody Mary's/Mimosas with breakfasts before, so I bet that they serve the full menu when they open. I know at Les Halles you can get a DIY mimosa shortly after opening. I just bought the sparkling wine, oj, and my beloved Disney croissant. It was great because I had juice left over I enjoyed for a few more countries. The sparkling wine did not last!

They can't sell before, are you ready?

7AM Monday through Saturday. And not before 9AM on Sunday.

And they must stop selling at 2AM.

Okay, I stand corrected for morning consumption hours. :) Everyone's Last Hour is 2am that I've ever heard of.

In Calgary one can sell liquor from 10AM to 2AM. We recently had our happy hour laws changed so that instead of only being allowed to discount during "happy hour", now establishments can run drink pricing specials as soon as they open the doors. Brunch mimosas here I come! ;)

Also they can allow patrons to consume said drinks outside on the patios until 2AM. That was another recent change this year. Before then, all drinkers had to be ushered back into the building with their drinks. Awkward I know!

Absolutely there are, even here in Wisconsin. (Most gas stations have no beer sales before 6am)
It's a state by state law, or possibly county by county. As far as I've experienced, Florida doesn't have a law like that. I've gotten dole whips with rum fairly early in the morning at AK. I don't know about outside of park hours, but once the stand opens, they're selling alcohol (yay!). I'm in GA and we count ourselves lucky that we can buy booze on Sundays at all now!

Not sure but figured this would be a good place to post....does anyone know if they serve mimosas at CRT? Just wanna feel fancy in a castle if we are lucky enough to even find an ADR. :worship:

Many Chicago bars are open until 4:00am. Not sure it's a good thing but true

I was going to say when they open too. We've had alcohol at breakfast many times. It's vacation. Why not

It's a state by state law, or possibly county by county.
Both. States make their own liquor laws and from there may or may not allow their counties to make laws also, as long as the counties aren't less restrictive than states they can do what they want. There's no "norm" at all.

Last call in NYC is 4am

Last call is just a foreign concept to us in New Orleans.

I lived in the San Francisco area for many, many years where people consider themselves so "cool and with it". I loved having them come visit me in New Orleans where we not only had 24/7 bars with go cups but also had drive thru bars. And as someone who went to college in New Orleans and the Bay area - we had far less people who abused alcohol when I went to school in New Orleans.

I grew up in Miami. No such thing as last call in Miami either. We have clubs where the party gets started at 2am in Miami Beach. I didn't even realize there were different liquor laws in other parts of Florida!

I'm in Ontario. 11am to 2am now. Use to be 1am. When there is major sporting events they have relaxed the law. For instance The next World Cup final will be at 11am, so they might do a one-off to allow sales to start at 10am that day. Just like they would probably allow a one-off for the Gold Medal hockey game at the Olympics in Korea if Canada made the final.
