What time do the parks start serving alcohol?

Now that alcohol will be included on the DDP, it will be interesting to see how the alcohol options change (if at all) throughout the parks. I could see more mimosas/bloody marys being added so that people feel like they aren't "wasting" a credit for a breakfast that doesn't serve alcohol, whereas they would get an alcoholic beverage if they had saved the credit for lunch or dinner. Similar to how prevalent small desserts are throughout the QS locations because it is included with the meal.

I tried searching but couldn't find any answers on what time the disney parks start serving alcohol. We plan on spending a half day at the Animal Kingdom this trip, mostly to see Pandora, and will most likely be gone by lunch. I assume they would start serving at noon, so I imagine I won't be able to try the margarita at Pongu Pongu in the morning? However, they open at 9am, so...

When they open. In March we had a beer at the kiosk outside of Rock N Rollercoaster shortly after 9:30 AM (don't judge me, I was on vacation).

Okay, I stand corrected for morning consumption hours. :) Everyone's Last Hour is 2am that I've ever heard of.

In Calgary one can sell liquor from 10AM to 2AM. We recently had our happy hour laws changed so that instead of only being allowed to discount during "happy hour", now establishments can run drink pricing specials as soon as they open the doors. Brunch mimosas here I come! ;)

Also they can allow patrons to consume said drinks outside on the patios until 2AM. That was another recent change this year. Before then, all drinkers had to be ushered back into the building with their drinks. Awkward I know!
There are 50 United States.

Each has their own laws regarding alcohol. Some even have variations within the same state. Some states do not allow drink 'specials' that encourage consumption.

And there is often little rationale any longer for the differences between the times alcohol can be purchased at a retail store (for unopened packages) versus the time when alcohol can be served/dispensed at bars and/or restaurants.

And things can get weird - in NY, for instance, a restaurant may give you a bloody mary and/or mimosa with your 'all-inclusive' brunch on Sunday morning, but a restaurant may not charge you for that specific beverage before 10am on Sunday. Nuts, right?

Even with my own limited experience visiting but just a few states, I could write about differences that would likely make you more confused than enlightened.

Bottom line - ask a local.

Oh, had I provided an earlier post and answered the question, "What time do the parks start serving alcohol?"

Not early enough!

Finally, grabbing a Margarita to-go from 50's Prime Time is one of those 'must-do' things when I visit Hollywood Studios. Restaurant opens at 11am and that's good enough for me.

Not sure but figured this would be a good place to post....does anyone know if they serve mimosas at CRT? Just wanna feel fancy in a castle if we are lucky enough to even find an ADR. :worship:

Not so far. Considering the food quality, being able to drink would help!

it's a good thing for the bartenders who worked at a place that closed at 2 am! (tended bar in chitown in my youth)
I hear you. Did pizza delivery in college at a place that took orders until 2:00. After deliveries sometimes had to clean up. Lots of late nights.
