Ok, it's after 8, the sun is down. When do they stop? I am not a bird hater, but they are beginning to annoy me. :rotfl:

Mine start at about 1:00 AM and stop when the sun comes up!!! WTH?! They are driving me CRAZY!

Let me tell you, we have had some birds this spring that sing ALL NIGHT LONG! We know, because we have been awake ALL NIGHT LONG with them! Now, I've found in the past that birds have awakened me with their sweet songs a tad earlier than I might prefer, but after all, it's dawn and they're ready to go, right? SO WHAT IS UP WITH THIS???? They sing at 10pm, midnight, 1am, 3am,4am and they are still going strong when my alarm uselessly goes off!!!!

Jessie - can I borrow your cats??????

They stop right after you fall asleep, and start before you are ready to get up.

You might be hearing a wood thrush at night. However, most likely you're hearing robins. They sing all night all year long.

My indoor birds actually get their second wind right before sunset and don't stop until dark. And then the start up again the first crack of daylight...

Well the outside birds stop when the sun goes down and starts when the sun goes up. Now Boo, he starts when I wake up and he stops around 10:30. Somehow, I've gotten Boo to be quiet until I wake up, and to start quieting down when I start to settle down for bed. He's quiet right now but earlier... :scared1: he was going nuts. At one point, he was even talking to himself :rotfl2:

When the fat one sings!

Sorry, pretty lame, I know - I just couldn't resist.

Seriously, we have a mockingbird nesting in our yard and he (or she?) sings pretty much 24/7, stopping only to eat or change tunes.

p.s. PD - is that Central or Mountain?

Bachelor Mockingbirds sing at night. He'll stop doing that as soon as he wins a mate. Their singing is also more common during a full moon or in a well lighted area.

He's even been singing in the rain. I hope he gets lucky soon. Also, there is a street light right by the tree out front.

No one's birdies are driving them crazy as much as ours are driving us CRAZY!!

Our bed is up against a window. Momma bird decides to come and build her nest in the eave just above our window. 4 hungry birds, 1 busy momma bird and 2 kittens in our house trying to get to them. :guilty: No sleep for us. It wakes us up every morning around 6 am.

We could kick them out, but we are nature lovers, and well how could we kick out the babies?
