I went to the website. I don't get what the hype is? They appear to just be big plastic cups? So what is the deal with them? How do they keep drinks cold or hot if it's just plastic?

They're double-walled, so they are insulating & don't sweat w/ condensation either. Also go in dishwasher.

Bed Bath & Beyond carries them if you want to look in person.

They also have a lifetime guarantee. You can return them if they ever crack or break. My MIL swears by them and has successfully returned some of hers through the years.

I think they have BPA, b/c they don't say that they don't! (if that matters to you)

I love these. When we moved into our new house lastyear, I decided to replace our drink glasses with these (I have a small child and I didn't want her to break them). Since we also have new carpet, and I am getting rid of the sippy cups (as she is 4 years old), I love th fact that they sell lids to go on these.

I have left a cup of ice water on my coffee table, gone out and run errands, and come back to find the water is still cold, and there is still ice left inside the cup, that's what sold me on their value. Other plastic cups get hot and sweat, but not these. We have 5 or 6 big ones (16 oz size) and then two 10 oz size. I am finding that the 10 oz are too small -- aka not enough beverage, so I will replace them with two more 16 oz ones.

Also, I love all of the designs.

That is a really good point. Initially I couldn't find it on their website, but Google linked me to their FAQ section which I couldn't manage to find myself. Apparently they used to have BPA & have been switching over to something new over the past couple years. Since Jan. of this year they are now BPA-free.

It is very odd however how they answer the question -- definitely composed by a lawyer.

My mom has a bunch of them and we use them when we go visit her. I like them because I like to put a bunch of ice in my drinks and they keep it cold.

My mom has bunches of them and loves them. I personally don't get the hype. My moms have all cracked over the years, and while they do offer a lifetime guarantee (which is great), my mom never seems to take the time to mail them in. Plus, while it's true they don't sweat, I don't find that they do a good job of keeping things hot or cold.

The drinking product I'm nuts about is the Hydroflask. They recommended it on the DIS Unplugged podcast, and boy were they right! It keeps things ICE cold for 24 hours and doesn't sweat either. Of course it's not a glass, but it's a great product.

I drink water all day long at the office. I mostly have to replace the ice over and over until I got one of these. NOW I just replace the water!

I love mine. Got it for $4.00 at Big Lots! :thumbsup2

I got my DS16 a Phillies one for Christmas, so he could take coffee to school (seriously, they are allowed to take coffee to HS! :confused3)

Anyway, I borrowed it one day, and haven't given it back :rotfl2:

I also agree that the Hydroflask is awesome. I got my dd one for cross country. We put ice and water in it in the morning before she leaves to school. It sits in her locker all day and the water is still cold with ice in it after practice at 5 pm. We do have tervis tumblers for around the house and we like those too, but they don't keep the ice for 9 hours like the Hydroflask does.

They are fantastic. It keeps ice in there for a long time and doesn't sweat. I also get the lids so no spills (cause I am clumsy)

What a deal!

They're pricey, but worth it! They keep cold drinks cold for hours, and hot drinks hot. They also last forever...I have had some knockoff brands that bite the dust after a couple of years...not a Tervis Tumbler! Really cute designs too.

I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond... I used a 20% off coupon. I got one because everybody else I know at work carries one. I like it.

They have Disney ones at Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

We got Mickey, Minnie, & Daisy. Next one I'm getting is Ariel.
