What %tage of WDW rooms are DVC?

I just got the little leaflet in the male yesterday about the association meeting on Dec. 9th, and in the operrating budget it said there are 888 DVC units. I do not think that includes the new ones because they are not open yet. I do not know how mant other units there are at WDW. If you find that out you can figure out the percentage.

Okay, so I can't do math. My previous post was way off, because I added 10,000 rooms that aren't Disney's. I have not included BLT numbers, because I can't find an accurate unit/room count, but I have included Kidani at AKV and THV.
The current summary is that there are 2604 DVC units and 3784 DVC max rooms. The "unit" view treats 2Br lockoffs as one unit, the "max rooms" view treats 2Br lockoffs as two rooms since they can be rented separately. There are either 24,560 total rooms (counting DVC units) or 25,740 total rooms (counting DVC max rooms). So, DVC comprises 10.6% (Unit view) or 14.7% (room view) of the total rooms available. When BLT comes on line, that percentage will get a little bigger by about 1%.
In case anyone is interested, here are the detailed occupancy lists compiled from posts on the DIS, Allears, and anywhere else I could get what I thought was a reliable number. A few are still approximate numbers, and if anyone has a better number, let me know.

I was not mentally prepared to figured that out, all I can think about is my grocery list for T-Giving!
What prompted me to ask, I was wondering if DVCers could provide a large enough guest base to keep everything running, if the cash side suffers. I know that's a long shot, but a this rate, in the near future, that may hold true.
Maybe that's what they are shooting for. I wonder how many guests they need to sustain current theme park operation levels. Anyone want to do the math?

The theme park attendance report for last year showed that the total attendance at the 4 WDW parks was 47 million "people-days." MK was 17.1, Epcot 10.9, DHS 9.5, AK 9.5.
Even if every DVC room was filled to capacity (even the pullout sofas) every single day, we would only represent a little over 7.5 milllion people. Once you factor in the actual occupancy rates and the actual number of times you go to a major park when you show up (for most members, I would be willing to bet it is less than 1 park per day of stay), we might make up closer to 3.5 million (95% occupancy, 5 people average per room, visit a park 3 out of 4 days). That is not insignificant, but it is probably not a make or break situation.
In the year end results conference call, Iger commented that theme park attendance was down 1% in Disney's Q4 (July, Aug, Sept). Given that period is one of their busiest, that could translate into 150-200K people less over that period. DVC would have to increase its rooms, occupancy rates or the number of times we go to the park and spend money on meals and stuff (given that many of us have annual passes) by 5-6% to make up for that loss.
That's why there has been 6 DVC resorts built at WDW in the last ten years and only 1 cash resort. We do represent a good, not insignificant base. But if the economy slides, no way will DVC "save" WDW from suffering.
