What special things do you do before you go to Disney/DCL

When I started planning this trip my boys had no idea what Disney World even was! I've had to start from scratch with them. I've started showing them videos of rides and parades. After watching a few parades I realized there were a lot of Disney characters that they had no idea about - so I'm reading them Disney books we've had forever but haven't read for a while. I also plan on few movies with them.
