We leave in just a couple weeks for a week's stay at OKW! We are staying on an awesome Dis'ers points. My three kiddos and I will be in a studio and we're all very excited. I don't know that much about OKW. What sorts of things should we make sure to check out? Are there any really good places to eat? Is the pool fun for kids? Any tips or pointers? Since we're getting *this* close, I'm getting a little nervous. LOL!! Thanks all. :goodvibes

Definitely check out daily activities at Community Hall, our kids would  to stop in there when they were younger; most activities there are free but some may have a small fee & reserving a spot may be necessary. You can also go over to SSR and visit the Community Hall there ( or at any DVC resort that has CH ); you might want to call over in advance to check out if they've got anything scheduled on a particular day that might be of interest for your kids. The feature pool at OKW is located at Hospitality House area; has a fun slide and play area too. But the quiet pools located at South Point, Turtle Pond and Miller's are great too and often you may find that you've got these pools pretty much to yourself. Dining is somewhat limited; we've always enjoyed Olivia's for table serve, Good's for counter serve is okay...we've never had a bad experience there but the offerings are limited. Hop over to allears.net to check out the menus. You can take boat over to SSR ( although now I think you may have to take it to Downtown Disney first & then switch over to boat for SSR ) SSR has Artist Palette for counter serve and Turf Club table serve. Or take boat to Downtown Disney for a better selection of counter & table service dining ( Wolfgang Puck, Wolfgang Puck Express, Rainforest Cafe, Earl of Sandwich, McDonald's among others ).

You'll have a great trip :goodvibes We love our OKW home and think you will too :thumbsup2

Your family is going at a great time of year. The Christmas decorations are awesome, the weather great, and you may avoid the big crowds. Are you planning on visiting the parks? There is nothing like Christmas at WDW. In the evening it snows on Main Street!! There first time I saw the snow it blew my mind. It's truly magical. Each park is transformed into a Christmas Wonderland. You won't be disappointed. For additional information about OKW Resort visit http://130.94.73.200/wdwinfo/Resorts/okw.htm
