A few years back, while staying at the Poly, my daughter and I saw a man in the hallway only in his undershorts (boxers), and he was bending down with a towel, kind of chasing something. We walked down to see what he was doing. He was tyring to get a snake. He said it had been in his room, and his wife was freaking out. We were on the ground floor. The snake went out the end of hall door finally, and he was so embarrased to realize he was standing there talking to us in his undershorts! It really didn't bother us much. We couldn't see anything. (Plus my adult daughter and I thought he was pretty good looking!)
Once at the Contemporary beach my daughters saw a snake there.
Also, once I was floating down a lazy river at one of the water parks, and felt something on my shoulder. I turned to see one of those lizards perched there. I knocked it off, and it was kind of icky, but they are all over the place. I know one of my daughters and my daughter-in-law saw a snake in the lazy river at Typhoon lagoon once too.
Really, it's all just nature. They have as much of a right to be around as we do.
