What should we put on the stroller to mark it?

We are going to use WDW strollers for the first time and I know that they have a place for the name, but,I also know that alot of you put something you bring with you to put on the stroller to help pick it out of all the rest. What would be good for us to bring to mark our WDW stroller from the rest? What ever it is,it'll have to fit in our suitcases because of flying. We are going to be traveling with a 3 year old boy and any help would be great. We're leaving Sept.27th,and I like to be packed early (I know, yes,I'am one of them)so if anyone knows of anyway I can mark it apart from the rest let me know soon.Thanks.

so had to make due with a CVS shopping bag tied into a bow on the handle. After that, it was a tradition and we did it every time after!

Get a pirate flag from POTC and fly that baby on the stroller (not your kid, when i say baby, I mean the flag...and...oh YOU know what I mean) ;)
...this way when you go back to your "ship" (aka stroller) you'll be singing "Yo Ho!"

We have an old strip of material that has Clifford the Big Red Dog designs on our stroller at all times. It's easy to pick it out since it has bright colors in the design.

My daily newspaper, The NY Post, comes wrapped in a red plastic bag every day. I use the bag to identify my luggage and already have a few packed away for upcomming trip with DD and DGS (they are also good for soiled diapers :earboy2: . Karen

I use a really obnoxious orange and yellow bandanna that I got for $1.00 at Wal-Mart. Works like a charm!

here's another vote for a really wild colored bandanna...work's like a charm!!

For the stroller we used, I got a cheap bandanna from the Dollar Store. The decorations on it were dollar bills so every time we spotted the stroller, my granddaughter would yell, "the money chair, the money chair!"

When my husband needed a wheelchair (thankfully not now anymore), I made up a sign beforehand and put it into a sheet protector. It announced that this was "Richie's Wheelie". I pinned it to the back of the wheelchair. Got quite a few chuckles from that one.

We bring our own stroller but we also use the bandana idea. may not keep anyone from taking it, but it will help you pick it out of a crowd !

First tip would be: something so different you can pick it out of a crowd.

Second: make sure the marker isn't something that someone might want, and therefore, take off the stroller. I would worry that a souvenier pirate flag from POTC is something that might be stolen, even if the stroller isn't.
sidenote: we always put a strip of cloth on the antennae of the
rental car to find it in the parking lot, and the last trip, someone
took it off, just to be mean.

Third: Make sure it's on good, especially if it's a good stroller, so no one can quickly take it off and bolt. I may be paranoid, but we always took the cheapo umbrella stroller or rental, because I was afraid someone would steal the Graco.

Just put your child on the stroller. You'll be sure to recognize him/her.

I read a good one in the UG: Pour a little water in a clean diaper so it looks full, fold it over like you're going to throw it away, put it in a clear plastic bag and tie the bag to the stroller. NO ONE will take YOUR stroller! Kinda gross, but clever none the less. I don't think it's a tip that we will use, but probably works! :sunny:

We have tied metallic curling ribbon by the handle. The metallic was easy to spot with the sun reflecting off of it. We put it right by the handle that way it was very noticable to any who accidently decide to take the stroller. It is very cheap! :flower:

Your hands. :teeth: seriously - I think a bright colored bandana, rope or something that not everybody will think of. Unique.

I read this too! So true - who would want that stroller! :earboy2:

Even though many people are first hearing this tip now, it's been around for a long, long time (probably something like 15 years). As you mention, I wouldn't bother with doing it. Anyone who is likely to steal the stroller is probably aware of the hint and it wouldn't stop them.

i've heard of people doing this with melted chocolate on the diaper/nappy. gross yes, but no-one will go near it!!

another idea, if you are leaving your stroller in a designated stroller area, park it next to a railing and secure it to this with a bicycle lock. surley no-one will go through that much effort to try and remove it

Because of fire regulations, the CMs won't let you secure your stroller to anything. You can, though, fix a bike lock thru the tires in a way that makes it not useable, but it can still be moved (for example, if you lock both front tires together, the CM can still tilt it up on the back tires to move it).
