Really everything is DON'T MISS.


However things to miss:

Take a deep breath at the castle end of Main St USA (love that smell)
the parade at AK (though it might be different at Christmastime)

The Fantasyland dark rides - Pooh, Pan, small world (really, you have to)
Hall of Presidents (another classic)

I would say Spectromagic, but see if you can sneak a spot near parade time. Nothing is worth sitting on the curb for two hours .

Agree with giving Cinderellabration a miss. To me, Wishes is just another fireworks show, but others have different opinions. See it and let us know what you think.

OMG...there is so much not to miss at Disney that it's hard to list here but one thing I did love during our last trip and we must have done it at least 10 times was Soarin. The line is always long so definitely get a fast pass. They run out quick too so try to get it the minute the park opens. Sometimes you'll be lucky and you can get a fast pass and also ride it because the lines haven't started quite yet.

While nearly everything is "don't miss" on one level or another, you absolutely cannot see everything in one trip (unless maybe you're going for 2 months). Remember to slow down and relax from time to time, so what you don't miss is your vacation (a lesson I learned the hard way last time).

It's all good! But I think Lights, Motors, Action was overrated. I learned a couple of things I didn't know, but other wise we did it once and although we are glad we did, it won't be on our list to repeat.
If you are running out of time and haven't caught it yet, but there are other things you want to do, do them, IMHO. There were 14 of us in our group when we saw it, 3 of the guys were race fans...really in to cars...and they said it was kind of a disappointment.

What kind of ride is it and what theme park is it in? We've been to WDW before but apparently missed this. We're going again in December and would like to hit something everyone seems to like.

Correct. I was confused on how long it will be closed. Frankly it probably needs a bigger refurb than that, but it's my favorite attraction even without a refurb.

The best advice I can give is enjoy everything and take in all the magic, especially the details. From how enchanting Main Street is, to the awe of the different lands at Epcot, MGM is a huge thrill and Animal Kingdom is so relaxing. I think that is the one thing that really thrills me. For rides these are a must -

Pirates of the Carribean - MK
Haunted Mansion - MK
Main Street - MK
Toon Town for the kids - MK
Buzz Lightyear - MK
Have a character dinner
Eat in a few lands in Epcot
Test Track - Epcot
Aerosmith Ride - MGM
Tower of Terror (if you get motion sick take some dramime) - MGM
Kilimanjaro Safaris - AKA

Dinner at Sci Fi Dine-In at MGM is a blast.

Don't rush, take your time if you don't get to everything you'll just have to plan another trip!!!
