I'm a McCain supporter, BUT....
He's got a bunch of things working against him. #1 being he's the "in"party. The Repubs have the presidency now and there's people out there that think the Repubs are responsible for everything from the Bailout to their bad meal at Burger King. I honestly think Pelosi could win right now. Who in their right mind would be looking at this Obama airhead if the economy was booming?
Obama also has the benefit of the entire media being on their knees in front of him. I have never in my life seen the media so biased. My business is involved in a HUGE deal right now. We are making a big sale to a businessman who is doing record setting business. The local news affiliate caught wind of this and decided to do a "feel good" story about how well this business is doing in this economy. The producer of the story at the local affiliate called their national network to see if they had interest in running the story. The answer came back that the news division of the network said there are to be no positive stories on the economy on their network until after the inaguaration.
McCain has forces working against him like we've never seen.
I honestly think it's too late for McCain. If you were McCain looking at this Community Organizer, (And short term United States MOST liberal senator), with absolutely no executive experience of any kind....AND you were losing to him, what the heck could you do?????
True.

). I think he really had a decent shot at it and I was convinced back then that he would beat the pants off Obama. I do think that the economy was/is against him; however, he really could have used this to his advantage by showing his differences with the current administration. Somehow he just really lost his steam. I'm kind of confused as to what happened. For me it, as I've said a zillion times, it was the Palin pick. But putting that aside, it really started to unravel after that.
McCain needs a message that has a light at the end of the tunnel or at least some relief. Without it, IMO he will not win the non-decided voters. I do like Obama's "shared responsibility" vision. I'd like to see McCain adopt a similar stance.
