What should I serve alongside....

Sloppy Joe's? Will need to make a very quick dinner tonight & got the fixin's for the SJ's but didn't think what I'd serve with it! Any suggestions? (We haven't had Sloppy Joe's in about 3 years! )

White Rice...my sister makes this for my kids EVERY time they eat over. I personally think sloppy joes are nasty, so I won't make them, however my sister and kids love them. She usually makes white rice and sometimes they mix it up. Bluck!!!! LOL

Whenever I make sloppy joes, I make easy nachos for the side.
I heat up a can of Campbell's cheese soup (stirring in a little bit of milk only), and serve with Tostitos nacho chips for dipping.

We always have tater tots and baked beans with sloppy joes! Usually apple sauce too.

Thanks for your input! I ended up making nothing as a side dish! There was no veggie that sounded right with Sloppy Joes. Potatos are great but if I had to make a potato dish, it would have ruined my 10 minute dinner prep time tonight! I didn't have tator tots or anything frozen like that to prepare (darn!) If I had potato chips though, that would have been perfect. I didn't have any though.

My DS's & my Mom ate steak while my DH & I ate Sloppy Joes! (I had put extra steaks on the grill Saturday & tonight they ate the left over steaks since neither one of them will eat ground meat!)

3 for me. Sometimes 4.

Chips are a good side dish with sloppy joes. They require about a 10 second prep time. I prefer french fries with my sloppy joes though.

Corn and Cole Slaw, which actually end up on the sandwich. Then fries or chips on the side.

Next time make Ranch Instant mashed potatoes. Instead of adding milk to the mix when you put it all together, use an equal (or in our case about double) amount of ranch salad dressing.
