Actually, those cities are full of human beings from all over the United States and the world.
I currently live in Charlotte. I can eat at an Ethiopian restaurant one evening and a Jamaican restaurant the next. I can go to fabulous art exhibits and hear many different languages at my favorite tiny coffee shop. There are people that don’t look like me, people that don’t have my history and people that have fantastic stories to tell.
Transplants are good. They bring culture and change. This is why I could never move back to my small Mississippi town. They are afraid of change. They dislike “outsiders” because they are not like them.
It is so sad (and a bit weird) to be angry that people of different backgrounds have moved into “your” area. Which, of course, you know isn’t “yours”, right? This is America. Open your mind to change. It feels wonderful
