What room do you hate to clean?

Does the garage count?

For the person who asked about keeping grout clean, I use bleach. It gets rid of mildew and gets the grout white. I actually have it in a spray bottle half bleach/half water, and spray the shower each morning after I use it to keep it spotless.

Thanks I will try that!

I hate the bathroom but I also hate having a dirty bathroom. If I won the lottery, I would totally pay to have someone come in and clean my bathroom every day!
one pet peave is clutter and dozens of picture frames and knick-knacks all over the place makes cleaning five times as difficult.
ITA. A few years ago, I made a rule that nothing knickknacky could enter our house without something else being taken down.

THE BATHROOM!!!!!! With 3 boys and a DH all with no aim whatsoever, I refuse to clean it. DH does it and does it really really really good, like with a toothbrush good.

I wish he'd come give my DH a lesson!

My least favorite room to clean is my boy's bathroom. They get toothpaste everywhere, pee everywhere, it's just nasty! And a day after I clean it it's messed up again. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Tomorrow is my one day off work a week, and I need to spend it cleaning and doing laundry. I think I'd rather be in the office, it's less strenuous and I get paid ;)

The question is what room do you LIKE to clean?:cool1: :thumbsup2

It's not a room, but I love to clean my yard. I would rather be outside cutting the grass anyday then cleaning my house. Don't get me wrong I do clean and have a clean house, I just love being outside when it's nice.

I'll have to get a sprayer bottle and use that bleach and water mix. thanks for that. Not the person you're responding too though.

It is the kitchen I hate cleaning the most. Dishes, dishes, everywhere dishes.

For sure the bathroom. We in apartments for married students and thus have a tiny apartment with a tini tiny bathroom . In order to clean the bathroom you have to have the door closed. Having the door close means that the fumes accumulate which just makes for a not nice situation. :headache:

Actually I like to clean my den. I tend to end up with piles of stuff in there, and it's quite often "good" stuff. I cleaned it a couple weekends ago and found half a dozen CD's I forgot had been sent to me, a check for $150, and an issue of Rolling Stone I hadn't read yet. :goodvibes

Every floor of every room in our house. With 2 dogs that shed they get up from where they are laying and leave a patch of fur the size of their bodies behind. Yuck! Little Fur tumbleweeds float across the wood and linoleum floors.
Yes, this even happens when I brush them twice a day.

Any room that ends in "room.":lmao: Bedroom, bathroom, diningroom, familyroom you get the picture right?:rotfl:

I don't like to do our master bedroom or the living room. Mostly because of all the knicky knacky junk that attracts dust and all the piles of "stuff" that don't have a home anywhere else. Sometimes I just look at the bedroom and feel defeated before I've even begun cleaning- because I see all the "stuff" that I know will end up right where it is, since it has nowhere else to live.

And i hate to put away clean laundry! I am fine with sorting, washing, drying, and folding, but as soon as it goes in the room, it sits in piles in front of the dresser. We usually end up just picking things out of the pile.

I don't mind doing the bathrooms or the kitchen- I kind of just clean as I go along.

I don't really mind most of the housework, but I really hate cleaning the hallways. I feel like I'm sweeping every 10 minutes, and it's still not good enough. Our stairs are painted white, and there's no carpet on them just yet, so every speck of dirt shows up. Plus add a VERY shedding Newfie to the mix, and everything looks like I have dog hair carpeting :)

The room I hate cleaning is the living room, or as I call it the Why Even Bother Cleaning It room. Everytime I pick up all the toys and put them back in the kids rooms they just seem to come back.

Oh and on bathrooms for a minute. How the heck do you keep caulk clean? and not moldy? I am recaulking all the time and I am thinking I must have missed the caulk cleaning class at some point.

A few suggestions re: caulking:

1. If/when you recaulk, use a good quality caulk, like GE Silicone II. It's tough and mildew resistant.

2. Allowing the tub/shower to dry quickly and thoroughly will prevent mold/mildew growth.

3. The only way to erase mildew stains that I know of is to use something like Tilex. It doesn't get rid of mold or mildew, though, once that stuff takes hold in your caulk/grout etc. you can't get rid of it unless you recaulk/regrout.
