What part of MK to start with?

Hi I am new to the World and will also be there with dd on my own. I don't want to be walking around in circles looking for particular rides/shows.

Can anyone help me with my itinerary...give me suggestions on where to start?

I plan to go to MK on arrival day (I don't think dd could stay away knowing it's RIGHT THERE!!) :)

We will get there around 1 I would suspect. Should I focus on a particular "land" for a half day like that? I think we will just go back to the resort and watch the fireworks from the beach so I figure 1-6

The second day I have a pre-park opening ADR at CRT. That is the day I am really trying to schedule. DD does not like fast rides and is even shy about small rollercoasters but I am going to try to get her to do the mine train.

Should I do Adventureland / Frontierland day 1 and do the rest on our full day? Is that possible? I have another day built into our schedule to let dd decide where to go so I assume she will pick MK but who knows.

I plan to stay all day on day two with a mid-day break at the resort. THanks!

Honestly I would try to do Adventureland/Frontierland day 1 depending upon what all you're going to try to get done watch see in those areas. Day 2 after CRT I would head to either New Fantasyland or Fantasyland and try to get Peter Pan, Small world, SDMT if you can get her on it, Pooh etc done before it gets busy and go from there.

You've received some great advice so far!
My contribution is to take some time to go over the park maps before you go, so you have an idea of how each park is laid out. The maps on Disney's website are interactive, so you can drag it around and do a "walkthrough".

Have fun on your trip :-):-)

In the past, I have started in Adventureland and worked my way around. However, my strategy is probably going to change with my 2YO DD. I have a feeling Fantasyland will take up most of our time, so we may start in Tomorrowland this time. In the past, I've used the MNSSHP to take care of most of the Fantasyland rides since the lines are not as long. Have a wonderful trip and let us know how the strategy you use works! :)

I have two older boys so I'm little help on the planning style with girls, but I do agree with others definitely use touring strategies from EasyWDW or one of the other sites. Also use your FP+'s wisely so that you can get the most out of your trip. Stalking these boards and asking a lot of questions here will help too. Hope that you have a magical trip !!!
