What Park to book first arrival day at 3:pm?

Wondered which park to go to after 3:00pm after arriving at resort and using Genie Plus and LL to see the latest attractions? We are in mid 60's so don't have the running power we once had!!! Plan to book one Genie plus ride and 2 LL rides, but wondered what happens if they show up at 10:00am before we are even in Florida? THanks

That would depend on the rest of your trip. Are there any parks you feel like you don’t have enough time in? Id personally do Epcot and wander the world showcase, eat dinner there. But I’m biased because that’s my favorite park.

Genie plus is generally most useful at MK and DHS.
As for getting times after 3 pm, the new rules allow for modifying a reservation, so if you get a too early time, you can modify it to make it later when the time windows have shifted. Make sure to do this before your window opens.

I’ve had good success with afternoon arrivals at DHS and plan to do that on my next arrival day again. Slinky is a must book at 7am and getting a time after 3pm is doable at 7am. It sells out quick so that should be a priority if that is something you want to ride.

Also 2 paid ILL implies park hopping which I question since a 3 pm arrival makes hopping a bigger time waster. (There is only 1 ILL in each park)

Where are you staying and how many park days will you have, will you have single park tickets or park hoppers? It all makes a difference.

Another vote for Epcot but I'm biased as it is always my arrival day park. I usually get there somewhere between 1 and 3 (I drive down from Georgia). I'm usually hungry and Epcot is usually having a festival so I snack around WS making my way to the front of the park. Sometimes I'll ride a few rides along the way then I'll hop over to whatever park I have a reservation for the next day. That allows me to knock out a few rides since most parks are less busy at night. You will need to check the park hours for your arrival day, depending on the time of year, they close earlier.

By the way, I'm 65 (will be 66 my next trip in April) and usually go for at least a 4 day trip, most of the time 5 day, my trip in April will be 6 1/2 park days. I always have hoppers, never buy Genie+ or ILLs. Since I'm older, go often and can't ride some of the more intense rides, I have no problems riding every thing I want to ride by hopping. I always stay on site, usually do a split stay with a value the first few nights then switch over to Swan/Dolphin for the rest of the trip.

If planning to stack G+ I would recommend MK. It’s also our favourite park to start and end our trips.

Also, if you’re purchasing G+ you’re eligible to purchase first one at 7AM then every 2 hours after the park you’re booking at opens. With a 3 PM arrival you could likely have 4 LLs stacked by the time you arrive.

Yes, I was thinking along your lines with the stacking. Going the week of Jan 28th, so crowds may not be as bad to have to buy a LL for anything as well.

Staying at Bay Lake Towers, so close to MK and will do 6 single park admissions. Too old for hopping anymore! I guess was wondering if I would have a better chance of getting Ride of resistance without being at park all day long or some other newer ride,

Will not be hopping and read, I thought where you get 2 ILL per park? Just wondered if we could knock out one of the bigger newer rides before we tackle the week!

Currently there is 1 ILL in each park. You are limited to 2 per day, but since there is only one in each park, to get 2 you need to hop.
If you are not hopping, you can get the one ILL in the park you are going to.

Since you’re staying at BLT just go to MK that first night and plan to stay late for fireworks. While traveling you can stack Genie+ rides. Genie+ has a new feature where it allows you to change the time of the attraction but that still depends on availability. Your best bet is to just try to pick up rides showing later times.

Still a little confused on if I book a ride at 7 AM and it tells me it’s confirmed for 11 AM. How does that help me when I will not be at the park until 4 PM? Hope this makes sense?

I personally wouldn’t bother do Genie + on arrival day. Jan 28 is a Saturday so it will have the surge pricing so $20 or more without paid LL ride. I would just go to MK with out it or monorail to Epcot and browse the Festival of the Arts stuff.
