what offer is DVC giving to take a tour now?

Just had a split stay at disney. Staying at port Orleans was offered $50 gift card to attend. Staying at Contemporary was a $100 gift card. For the record, we went to the $ 50 gift card one...then decided to buy resale BCV. .

We just finished the tour a few hours ago, and were offered 3 FP's per person, as well as the $50 gift card. We are strongly considering DVC, but after quickly browsing this forum - looks like I need to research resales!

When we went and stayed before we had a card in our room to give us a $200 Disney gift card if we toured dvc. We had no time to go but I have time this year and was thinking of doing a tour.

Did you ever call about doing this? Are they going to honor the $200 gift card. Would love to know since we plan on doing this durning our trip. We rented points, but really want to learn more

i doubt they are still offering that much to go on the tours as it sounds like they are hitting their sales targets lately.

if you really want to learn more, ask questions and do some searches on this board. there have been a number of times that the guides on the tours have confused people who then come to this board disappointed to complain. you will definitely get better and unbiased information here, from people who don't get paid only if you buy...

but if you are determined to take the tour, make sure of the incentives offered up front.

August 2007 we did the SSR tour and was given Ice Cream and 4 super fast passes.They did pick us up @ POR and drive us to Animal Kingdom.

We were staying at GF and the $100 offer was delivered to our room. We stopped by the DVC kiosk across from the GF Cafe and asked about a tour. We couldn't easily fit the tour of the villas in with our activities (DH's birthday dinner, Behind the Seeds tour were all scheduled and we were leaving in 2 days). They offered the 3 fastpasses for each of us, private transportation to EPCOT to get to the Behind the seeds tour on time in addition to the $100 and we accepted.
