Here's goes ...

Why is it that these women, who wear sizes that can be found in Anne Taylor or Mexx (coincidentally a block from my office) dress like crap? Do they really dress that badly, or is it dramatized for television.

If Stacy and Clinton want a real challenge, try to dress women who generally cannot find clothing outside of Lane Bryant. 3x-ers.

And another thing -- why do people argue with Nick?? I'm thinking of saving my money just to see what he would do with my hair. The man is a genius!

Part Two: (Not a rant, but a genuine compliment).

Did you see the WNTW with the 21-year old publicist for the American Kennel Club? That girl went from mousy to gorgeous -- she could be a model.

Couldnt agree more about the mousy to model, girl. I told my fiance "shes gonna be hot when theyre done!" She was so gorgeous.

And I also agree - cut your stinking hair. Its HAIR! I cannot stand when women have this lengthy mane, that they just toss up in a bun, day after day after day! YUCK! With scragly end? ICK!

I'd like to see WNTW do a show on a real person's clothing budget. I appreciate the tips on what looks good and what doesn't, but how about helping me find this stuff at Target, Goodwill, Salvation Army...even Sears or Kohls or something on the cheaper end of fashion. No high-end fashion stores for me. Even The Gap, Eddie Bauer, and Macy's can be a stretch sometimes. I know there are real people out there who can afford to spend a couple hundred dollars on ONE pair of pants, but I'm lucky to be able to afford $50 for a pair.

Besides, can't you just picture Stacy and Clinton digging through the racks at Salvation Army? :rotfl:

I totally agree...

I told my DH I would love to do it if they could show me how to shop in stores I can afford after they are gone. That way, I could continue to build the wardrobe...

I would really like to see them work with 3x's...

I don't see why you can't find anything that Stacy and Clinton mention at those places? I shop at Target, H&M, Goodwill, thrift stores all the time and I find the stuff they talk about constantly. Just don't look for *exact* replicas.. All those places have those basic pieces S&C talk about.

And to the OP, just because someone is skinny doesn't mean they have an ounce of taste. I've seen plenty of bigger girls who rock the house because they know how to buy and wear clothing. Confidence is a huge part of looking fashionable as well.

I think what I meant was it's 1,000x easier to find the basics that Stacy and Clinton mention if you aren't constrained to plus sizes.

I completely and totally agree. AND I try my darndest to shop clearance, as well.... and I still get what they show.

Just gotta know how to look. :teeth:

I hear you! Plus sizes are so hard deal with! You usually get your choice of a polyester tent or something that was designed for thinner people and just made wider.

Decent cut and construction are almost impossible to find, and even more rare to be found affordably!!!
