What Not To Wear At Walt Disney World - Getting ready for the next one -Show on again

:rotfl: That is funny! I guess I missed the THEDISNEYFAMILY reference in the original post. I may have to go find her reports - they sound fabulous! :goodvibes

Yes, I highly recommend Michelle's reports :thumbsup2

I love all the fur babies, so cute! :goodvibes

Thanks - and welcome back Lessa!!

I love the kitty escape picture! They own us don't they?

They do! Mixi is so spoiled. My roommate thinks I'm nutty because I chase her around the apartment all evening cooing "Who's a pretty girl? Who wants a treatsie?" like some sort of weirdo

I love all your toys! I especially like the Alice and friends teacup.

The kitty cat escape picture is cute. That would be my cat, too.

I have the same World of Disney Statue of Liberty Minnie, too, courtesy of some nice Disers who sent it to me when they had a NY meet.

Thanks! I must update a more recent picture of Mixi at some point. She is about 4 times as big now as she was in those pictures!

I would buy that cat tons of stuff. I think my cat has almost every thing Disney sells for cats, unless they made new stuff since last year, which I hope they did, because she needs a present when I come back.

It's funny because I will fuss about buying myself a $10 shirt, but then I'll think nothing of buying $20 worth of toys and snacks for Mixi. Look out if I ever have children!

I love it! That is exactly the type of souvie I need. I think, however, a couple of shots of tequila and I'll be seeing hidden Mickeys everywhere.

 THAT is hilarious!

aww little mixi is adorable! she looks so tiny! (i want a kitty so bad :sad1: )

and that dancing wall-e is awesome. i wanted to buy one for my boyfriend as a present, but i don't know if he'll appreciate a dancing wall-e as much as i would (it's one of our new favorite movies!). i did make him a cut out version that i downloaded from the disney visa website. it's sitting on his desk. it came out really cute, but man was it a pain to attach the stupid treads.

SSL23010.jpg

Oh that is awesome!! I will have to check the visa website for that (not that I could ever hope to pull off making one). It looks really good.
I love the dancing WALL-E, now I want to get a Mo! I read somewhere that there is a Mo toy that actually picks up dirt. I can really justify buying a toy that will help me clean!

m-o.jpg

Yep, the Mo toy is a tiny little guy, just a couple of inches high, and he has a little roller on the bottom like a mini carpet sweeper. Our TDS is out of them (we sold out of all the Wall-E toys so fast, the plush sold out in just a couple of hours!) but shhhh, I think I've seen them at Target. Mo even comes with a little bit of sparkly space dirt to sweep up! There is also a magnetic Eve that comes apart, and she comes with extra arms that you can click onto her - plain arms, gun arms, and such. Really really fun and SOOO cute!! Right now we have a big Wall-E remote control robot who is really cool, and an Eve one whose eyes change expression (I love her 'angry eyes') and they can interact with each other! I totally want them but they are not cheap.

Oh yes, that's EXACTLY how it is with kids, trust me. I spend tons on those cute little spoiled brats, but I can't remember the last time I've bought something for myself. And I wouldn't have it any other way! I love shopping for them!! And before they came around, I spoiled my kitties or my boyfriends the same way.

Kelly, are you getting excited for your trip? Have you packed yet? I just started last night, I was freaking out because I couldn't find everyone's matching tshirts from last year but that's ok, I have new ones for this year and I can always get more when I work on Friday! Only 4 more days, I'm just about jumping out of my skin with excitement!! I told my DD that you'll be there at the same time as us -- she LOVED your WNTW episode -- and she is SO excited that she might meet "a celebrity!"

There are Wall-E plushies?!?! :hyper: I am glad that the Wall-E items are selling so well, even if it means that I had to order a t-shirt from disney's website because the store was all out of my size. I loved Meet the Robinsons and was bummed that no one seemed to be buying any MTR themed stuff from the Disney Store except for me.
So does the Mo sweeper really work or is he just for fun? could I sweep my bedroom floor with him?

I love spoiling my kitty. And I spoil Jack a little - like with this trip! But I think he spoils me more :cutie:

You know what's funny, I was so excited that I packed over a week ago. And then last night had to take everything apart and re-pack because I was worried I might have forgotten something :rotfl: I cannot wait, these last few days are draaaagging by!!

Gah! That's exactly why I don't like to pack too early, it leaves me too much time to worry about what I forgot and then I end up repacking a bunch of times.

Mo really does sweep up dirt! I suppose you could sweep your bedroom floor with him, but it would take a really loooooong time because he is about the size of a pack of tic-tacs.

I'll just buy a dozen and have an army of Mos to clean up my house. They can start by sweeping up all of Mixi's cat hair!

I feel like I have had no summer because I have spent most of it sitting at my desk in an FREEZING air conditioned office building Yesterday I did get the chance to lay out at my aunt's pool which was wonderful - I even got a bit of a sunburn, despite dilligently applying 2 kinds of sunblock!
As I look out the window at more torrential freezing rain...pardon me if I don't sympathise :rotfl:

You work at the Disney Store?? I must say I am envious! I was going to apply at the one near my apartment and then it got shut down Someday!
Working in The Disney Store- my dream job! :cloud9: The last time I was at our nearest Disney Store the staff were very impressed with my Mickey handbag, Mickey ring, my Mickey und.....No, that day I didn't have that particular piece of Disney memorabilia on! :thumbsup2

You sound all organised now! Packed and ready! Just think of all the Wall E stuff you can get! :yay:

And new shot glasses! ;)

I love the glasses. I'm too scared to bring home breakables, as Jezzie and Louie have pretty much claimed every horizontal surface for napping. And are not afraid to shove something out the way for the sake of their comfort.

MO is my boyfriend's favorite! haha. he follows me around the kitchen when i'm cooking or cleaning dishes and says "foreign contaminant" and wipes up after me. haha. if you knew how messy i was in the kitchen, you'd understand. :lmao:

i remember reading a thread on the dis where people were complaining about how wall-e had a political message and how it was calling americans fat. :scared1: it made me stop reading the community board.

Found your pre-trip report just in time! So glad your title caught my eye! My daughter and I recently watched your WNTW episode again, flipping thru the channels and there you were. Hope you have a great trip and hope the weather is great too. We were just at WDW (19th-24th) and dealt with FAY on and off that whole time. Great thing was our arrival day MK was pretty much desserted when we got there! I got a lot of use out of my $3.97 rain poncho I got at Walmart before we left...it held out all week! Anyway, so glad to see your Disney clothes all packed, I'll have to show my daughter that pic!

OMG....I just watch the WNTW with you on it....I had no idea when I click on your pre-trip report that it was you , until I saw your picture...love how they cut your hair :thumbsup2 ...wow this is cool...OK now I am going back to reading your pre-trip report

I probably will come home with new shotglasses, not that I need any more! I wonder if they make Wall-E shotglasses? :scratchin

Mixi has already broken a few things in our apartment so the glasses stay hidden up in the cupboards.

By the way my roommate tells me that Mixi has signed up for DISBoards...she really is a very talented cat. ;)

OK if my boyfriend nagged me in the form of a Wall-E character impression, I totally would not mind him cleaning up after me :rotfl: Too bad cleaning is the last thing Jack would ever do :p

Thanks! I'm sorry you got stuck in Fay! I hear she is gone now but of course something else is scheduled to hit right before we arrive :headache: I'm really glad I bought those 12 ponchos now.

I learn of your trip from a message board posting.

I feel betrayed. Who will give me snuggly wuggilies when you are gone? Surely not that tomcat with the strange facial markings.

I think I'll chew your trip planner in a passive-aggressive expression of my thoughts on your vacation plans.

Poor Mixicat! I told you several times I was going to WDW. It is not my fault you were too busy playing with a cardboard box and not paying attention. I will bring you presents!!!
:cat:

I spent this past Sunday hanging out at my aunt's house, which was fun because I got to lay out at her pool and drink margaritas and eat BBQ all day ;) but also grand because we got to talk about their trip! I brought ye olde planning DVD and they agreed that Dave was awesome, and of course my cousin loved Luke. I felt a little bad though because he got so excited watching the video and they are really only going to have 3 days there (including the day when they have the vow ceremony) so they won't be able to do everything. Probably they will do Epcot, MK, and Blizzard Beach for his birthday.
Originally they were also going to fit in DHS on his birthday on Sept 21, because my cousin LOVES cars and was so excited for the Lights Motor Action Stunt Show. :drive: But what did I see on a website this morning under Rehabs and Closings...

Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show will be closed from September 11 - September 24, 2008.

:headache: Drat! Poor kid. I have to call my aunt and break the news. I might wait til we get back from WDW just so I can confirm that it's true.

Oh and one week from today...I'll be floating down the lazy river at TL

3 days to go!

I am sure you can barely contain your excitement like me. Today is much worse on the giddiness front. I keep squealing when I think about leaving in THREE DAYS! Very uncomfortable to squeal at work. :rolleyes1

You have so much fun without me.

I can't remember the last time we spent some time together on the weekends. The big cat with the strange facial markings usually just wants to play the kicking game which I do not enjoy, most of the time.

Also I google'd this DIsney business. That mouse looks delicious. Please bring back for me.

ciao, i mean meow.

So I just booked a surprise for Jack at MK during the evening of our first day together! I don't want to say what it is in case he reads this, but it involves three letters: BBB :wizard: (shhhh...no guesses! ;) )

LiBerty Belle RiverBoat?

Message to Mixi from Miss Roxy Bonkers: If your person has forgotten how fun you are, put half of a cricket in her slipper. She will yell your name over & over and play that fun chasing-you-around-the-house game.
