They actually do a lot of research on the unsuspecting candidate to make sure that they are likely to go along with it. Imagine spending week getting ready to shoot the 'surprise' and then have the person refuse to be on the show!
Tub tops... I once saw a lady fall out of hers at a check out line at WDW!![]()
Your plans sound like fun!!
WL is such an awesome resort!
Your gona love the famous tonga
toast, its to die for!! Have you

Stacy and Clinton would not approve of my clothes, I have tons of tees, as well as six pairs of Crocs, and two Disney swimsuits. I can't wait to read the rest of your TR.
your plans are making me hungry and wanting to go to WDW NOW!!!! I loved the WNTW report too. Can't wait to see you on it on Friday!
I can't wait to hear how you like Wilderness Lodge.
I wish I were going this year. I have to wait November of next year. Boo hoo.
Your plans look great and you will love staying at the Wilderness Lodge! I am so jealous, I wish I was staying there again this year.![]()
According to a behind-the-scenes episode they did (where they answered questions sent in by viewers) they said that they did once have a person who wouldn't participate. BTW, I was sure surprised when I saw this thread and realized who was writing it, since I just saw your episode last week!
Okay...I found my way over here and now I am caught up! I can't believe how similar our plans are! We are in the same parks most days.![]()
Hi Kelly!I'm so glad you are doing a TR!
I can't believe your trip is almost here!!!!!!!! I hope you have a great time! We ended up canceling our Aug. trip
but we're going for Halloween & Christmas this year, so I can't complain. LOL!
I'm looking forward to hearing all about your trip!

P.S. I'll let Jordan know you started a TR! I'm sure she'll want to read along, too!
I'm so glad that they are airing your show this week. I'm going to make every effort to watch it. I will also be checking out Jellyrolls for the first time in September. It sounds like a great time - I can't wait!
looking at those horton hears a who pancakes made me a lil bit ill. not sure I could ave gotten them down lol
The tonga toast is totally like a dessert. My ds LOVED it! I on the other hand LOVED the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes.![]()
Airtran did the same thing to us, but they were able to change our flights to non stop at no cost.
Your plans sound so much fun!!
Hi Kelly - your plans sound great! I noticed that you're planning to have lunch at Kimono's and I'm not sure they're open that early in the day. We stayed at the Swan 3 summers ago and at least at that time it seemed like the lounge didn't open until evening.
I am really excited as I have never even set foot on WL property. I know that I didn't have much free time when I worked at Disney, but I often kick myself for spending four months there and not even checking out all of the resorts! I have also never seen Fort Wilderness, All-Star Sports & Movies, Pop Century, or the Swan and Dolphin.
You have much to do then! You can walk from WL to Fort Wilderness, which we have never done but will eventually, or take the boat. It's a beautiful campground. At Christmas time, many of them decorate their campsites, and it is so cool!
Pop Century - go have your picture made with Goofy at the pop jets and then sit by the pool eating your tie-dyed cheesecake. Do the Hustle with cast members, or play ping pong, or hula-hoop.
All-Stars are neat, too, and have many good photo spots. Lots of cute icons.
We've never been to Swan or Dolphin, either. We were going to run through them this summer, but even ten days is not enough for everything on the list, so that got scratched. We'll get there eventually.
Of course, you'll be at Wilderness Lodge, so you may never want to leave the premises to go see anything else! I hope to be able to stay there someday, so I will enjoy seeing all of your pictures as I am dreaming of that time.
Can you get Jack on ME to WL? Will he be staying there with you? Just let them know you have a guest change, that would sure save some money for him.
If that doesn't work, you should research a car rental. Not sure how old Jack is, less if >25y/o, but a one day car rental would be cheaper than $60, then you would have a car for your move to BC. National is at the Swan or Dolphin, so it would be easy to drop off the car after you check in.
Your plans sound great! I have never seen pancakes like that ever! I would say my 12DS would love them as they are pancakes but he might not be able to get it down with the colors... (he is soooo picky and even after making green eggs and ham himself would not eat them).
ooo i like reading your trip reports, they're fun! sounds like you guys are going to have a great time.
