What made me happy/ smile today thread

DS starts his new job today! Full time. That makes me smile!

My daughter got mvp of her soccer tournament and actually got compliments for the other teams coaches and parents on how well she played. Her team also took second in the tournament even though they were the lowest ranked team in it. Made me smile seeing how happy and proud they were!

I bought a new Sony camcorder yesterday and found out I received a free Disney gift with purchase! I have a beach bag with the castle on front of it on the way to me now!

I made the dining reservations for our February trip. It made the vacation seem just a little bit closer

I'm on vacation (staycation!) and my house has been cleaned once and has stayed clean all week without me having to follow anyone around cleaning after them

Smiling! Last night I got to watch my Freshman and my Senior playing the Tuba in the High School band! So cool watching them both together!

A mate at work borrowed a pair of glasses for a moment, and he looked just like Mr.Fredrickson from the film UP. People were queueing up to take the mickey out of him. I'm gonna feel sorry for him, but not just yet though.

Lets bring back the positive vibes!

I smiled today! I was in Wal-Mart and there was an awkward teenage boy taking a bouquet of pink roses to the register. He was blushing already! So sweet...made me smile. I have 3 teenage sons myself and I could relate.

Smiled when I got home because my own son was gone to church, but his BFF was upstairs taking a shower. He hangs around even when DS17 isn't here. Makes me smile. Always room for one more.

My incredibly silly boxer and his buddy, the neighbor's cat, playing tag in the yard. Watching a 75-lbs. dog being chased and pummeled by a 10-lbs. cat is a riot. They both love this game and play it almost daily.

Watching my 2 year old little girl with a sunflower picked from the side of the road. It kept her happy for hours!

We've been having beautiful weather for the last week and I'm enjoying it very much!

Our neighbors! They're an older couple who lost their one and only child due to a car accident and have taken my hubby and I in as psuedo children. We havent told them about the baby, but I know they'll be super excited! We love having them around.

The weather this weekend made me smile. Also the generous hearts of our neighbors. They cleaned out our garden, since I have been working like crazy and my mom can't do it on her own due to health issues.

Sitting on the swing with DH at the back of our property up north and hearing something thundering up the trail beside us, turning to look and there is a yearling deer going right in front of us, then stopped just a few few away and looked at us. We didn't move a muscle. Just sat quietly and watched. He stayed there for 2-3 minutes, watching us, twitching his nose and tail, walking around. It was such a neat moment!!

Also having dinner out with DH to celebrate both our birthdays.
