What lessons did you take as a child?

Music lessons (6 yrs) - clarinet 6yrs, sax 4 yrs, & oboe 2 yrs

Swimming lessons - can't remember, but a long time

Tennis lessons - summer only for a few years

Gymnastics - 1 yr

Art/Drawing lessons - maybe 3 yrs

I was involved in Girl Scouts too all the way up to 10th grade, then it really was conflicting with my band schedules. Our small GS troop was always going to places to learn how to do things. We took cooking lessons & cake decorating lessons -- I'm sure there were more.

I forgot DH and I took shag (the dance not Austin Powers ) lessons when we were dating. He only did it because we were dating and I asked him too. We have gone shagging since.

Guitar lessons for two years (can't play at all)

Piano lessons for eight years (can't play at all)

Saxophone lessons for two years (can't play at all)

Xylophone for three years (got pretty good, but don't remember how to play)

Baton twirling, one year--I liked it but they stopped offering the class.

Swimming lessons from when I was five until I was a sophmore in high school, because that is how long it took me to learn to swim! I am an excellent swimmer now, with great endurance, but I still cannot dive properly.

Scuba lessons. I am open water 2 naui certified, but don't dive much anymore as DH has sinus issues and can't come with me.

Tap lessons for three years--useless. I am an uncoordinated klutz.

Ski lessons--one season, after which it was determined that I was a danger to myself and others on the slopes and I quit.

Art lessons for six years, specialty oil paints. I am a pretty decent painter/drawer.

For activities I played little league (hopeless), high school softball (worst member of the team), did drum and bugle corps three years (fun), high school band one year (not fun), and lots of school plays (very fun, I even won some awards).

Next lessons: golf with DH.
