What kind of water do you drink?

ok, one more question about the brita pitcher.
is it ready to drink immediately?
i just know that it will sit in the fridge, almost empty, often! i'm hoping it tastes good as soon as you fill the pitcher.

Good! :thumbsup2 I'd read up on it and it sounded as though my filtered water was "clean" but I'd been led to believe recently that I was kidding myself.
i miss my fridge with the filtered water dispenser on the door :sad1: that was the best water!

You just have to remember to change the filter once in a while.

We've been happy with the Brita filter with the pitcher.
But that being said I still buy FIGI or Dasani.

Say what??? I know...it's been on the list to pick up at the store for a long time now. The water really is beginning to taste "different".

i'm so tired of spending so much money on drinking water, but our tap water tastes gross. with 7 people living in my house we go through A LOT of water!
i've been thinking of a filter that either goes on the faucet, or the kind in a pitcher.
so, what do you all use? any suggestions? :confused3
TIA!!

We have the Brita 2 gallon water dispenser, and keep it on a shelf in the fridge.

Our area actually has excellent tap water so we try to drink that most of the time. We buy bottled water at the grocery store for convenience (taking it in the car, etc.)

I also like Metromint, but it's expensive and I don't know that it has the same thirst-quenching quality as regular water. The peppermint kick makes me happy though!!
Yeah, MetroMint is a treat/splurge, i.e. I don't drink so if others are having alcohol I'll bring a couple of bottles of this.

Mostly, though, plain tap water. Run it for a couple of minutes, fill whatever (former Arizona Tea) jugs are empty, leave them open for 24 hours to dissipate any chlorine taste, refrigerate, drink, repeat.

As for poisons/toxins? Hasn't killed me yet - and something will.

i drink the water out of my fridge. ours has a filter built into it (we have to replace it every six months).

I drink tap water. I feel it's a waste of money buying water in bottles when you can just turn on the faucet. And if the water's nasty, try getting one of those Pur filters to screw on to it or a Brita pitcher. Mom drinks filtered water but I'm just too lazy....

We drink well water. It is filtered thru the pump & then again thru the fridge but if I drink it thru the tap it is only filtered once-but it tastes no different either way.

I grew up with 'city' water that was chlorinated. It was all I ever knew. Then I met my husband & he lived in the boonies of CT vs where I was from & I thought his water tasted pretty gross (the well water).

Now when I go home, I have a hard time drinking water at my parents house since it tastes like a pool.

I will get a bottle of water here or there if I am out & want a drink but I don't keep bottled water at home. There is no need to do that.

I like Dasani and I'm no greenie but all the plastic waste from bottled water really is too much so I went with a Brita for in the house and am very happy with it.

Any type of bottled water - even the cheapest available - tastes a million times better than the tap water here.. Yuck!!

When we lived in FL our tap water tasted really gross, so we got one of the water filters you attach to the faucet and it worked great for us. The filters lasted for a good couple months and we got a two pack of filters for about $30.

My tap water is very good so I drink that.

I absolutely refuse to drink Nestle [it tastes gross to me] and Zephyrhills because not only do I find that it tastes bad the name also make me thing of an STD. :lmao:
