I am a woman with wide feet that are sweaty. My sandals get stinky because of my sweaty feet. I also have plantar fasciites. And I need a great arch support. Dansko shoes make my feet happy. But my Dansko sandals now stink because of my sweaty feet.

I am going to WDW in Sept. I need a sandal that is going to make my feet happy while keeping everyone else happy (no stink feet). I live in Oregon and have a hard time adjusting to the heat anyway. I am afraid if I wear shoes with socks that it will make me feel even hotter. Plus I don't care for my tennis shoes, they don't make my feet feel very happy.

Help what kind of shoes should buy for my Disney trip?:confused3

I would try Holeys. I live in them, and have never had a smelly problem with them. I wore them for 3 days when we went to DL in Feb, and never had a problem with my feet until I switched to my other sandals. Their men sizes are much wider than the womens, and they do have larger sizes. They also dry fairly fast too. Their website is Holeys.com. Hope that this helps you out. Have a great day!

How about keeping your "happy" shoes & just using Gold Bond foot powder? It's great for sweat & odor.

I would try Orthaheel shoes.I havent worn them but there website say they are good for planter Facitis. The website is orthaheel.com

Try Asics running shoes. I have problems with PF also, and they are the only shoes I will wear if I'm doing lots and lots of walking. If you look at the different models on Zappos, you can see all the specific features - whether they have lots of arch support or moderate, if they're made for overpronators (sp?), or whatever - you can kind of use that to guide you to a model that suits your feet, whether you purchase them there or not! There's really way more info than you actually need.

And use the Gold Bond too, it just makes your feet feel good!

I LOVE my Redheads from Bass Pro! DH has foot issues (Nasty blisters) and I finally talked him into Redheads and he loves them. Comfy, airy, and great in the rain, too.

I love my Keens that I got a couple of years ago. I get the stinky feet thing too. I was considering bringing my Naot sandals. I have ones that buckle and I can put my Superfeet in them. I love my Superfeet. They are the less expensive orthodics that you can buy at REI. I have PF too and after wearing the Superfeet, my feet loved them. A suggestion from my shoe seller is that you should put your feet in shoes with Superfeet in them first thing in the morning when you get out of bed. I had been having pain from PF for over a month and 2 days after doing Superfeet, the pain was gone. I now have shoes that I put on before I get out of bed with a pair of superfeet dedicated to them. Sorry for going so long. I'm in Seattle so I understand about having to adjust to heat. I would also recommend not wearing the same pair of shoes every day. I didn't do that at DL and my feet hurt after the 2nd day in the same shoes. Also helps with the stinky feet thing, gives your shoes time to dry and air out.

try New balance 1123 motion control.I have a knot on myachilles on the left foot and messed up right ankle fromm a broken leg in 2000. The best shoes I' ve ever purchased. I am walking 1.7 miles a day in them and I also have a wide foot. Size 11.

Don't know if this really works, but I heard Dr. Oz on Oprah talk about this...

He said to soak your feet in a tea bath. Steep tea bags in a small bucket or foot bath container and when the water is warm, but not burning, soak your feet in it for 15 minutes or more. Do this once a week during sweaty prone seasons.

Good Luck!

I'm an Asaic fan myself...Born is my favorite sandal!:thumbsup2

I got a tip from a shoe person on the Keens stink issue- she said to wipe it down with white vinegar! *like to get rid of moldy smell in the washing machine I guess it works on stinky feet smell - I'm going to try that on my son's stinky Keens

Also on the Keens, I find the VENICE H2's run wider than the Newports.

Oh but I have to add I got a pair of BOrn heals and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had on my feet!

I am also a huge fan of Keens! :thumbsup2 I love mine, I bring two pair, just to switch it up. I have tried Tevas...good but not as good as Keens.

I just bought my first pair of Keens today!!! I have two months to break them in. I hope I like them. The stinky feet part you guys are talking about has me worried though. I normally don't have that problem.
