What kind of car do all of us DVCer's drive?

We actually got rid of a 1997 Saturn SL2 for the Prius 2 years ago. We'll probably give up the VUE for a minivan in a couple of years. We have a road trip planned to DL in 2012, and DH thinks the kids will be too big to go across the country in the Prius!

We had a Honda Accord, too and LOVED it...until my son totaled it last week!!! You'll be glad to know it rolled over 6-7 times and all 4 kids were okay! Well built little car!

Good to know, thanks. I'm glad the kids are okay.

Decided I would join this thread because I love cars

Me: 2002 vette convertable, a blast to drive, summer car
2008 ford excursion, winter car
DGF: 2004 Honda Pilot, 120k, she loves it
DD: 23,2006 Suzuki Aero, she loves it. ????
DS:21, 2007 Pontiac G6, coupe, he loves it.
DD: 19, 2005 Orange Volkswagon super beetle, 220k, never been in the shop
DD: 17, 2005 Mustang, 110k

I have a 90% 67 427 vette that is 90% restored, but Since I work to 2 FT jobs it will be a couple of more years it will get finished. All my kids are ft students(college) with jobs so they pay their own way(cars, that is.)

Would love to have a 2010 vette but can not scrape the 80k together right now.

Fun thread,

Jack

:thumbsup2We also love cars...we have the Denallis since DH is on the road a lot for work and I have Rottis. DH is restoring 86 Supra Turbo and the baby is a Jag XJR supercharge cream on black. They can become a passion.I hope one day ( let me wish upon a star) to have a Vanqish:banana:

2010 Hyundai Tucson AWD. Averaging 26+ MPG. Love it! But I'm a big fan of Ford and when I get rid of my 2003 Expedition with 125,000 miles, I'll get an Escape Hybrid.

2009 Nissan Maxima. The commercials are true 4 door sports car. I like to drive and needed room for the twins (7).

2005 Dodge Durango. Big. Never run out of room.

I'd love to say I drove a Ford Mustang but that is not the case. We drive a Honda Pilot. We do love that as well.

2000 Toyota Tacoma w/190,000 miles. Great little truck! And a 2010 Sienna Van for DW. Great for the DGC:banana:

Just purchased a 2010 Honda CRV and I absolutley love it and it's great gas mileage. Prior to this purchase I drove an Expedition which got about 11mpg in town and now I am getting about 21mpg. I am saving more Disney $$. I have had my CRV for 3 weeks now and I refuse to drive it when the weatherman is calling for rain. When there is a chance for rain, I drive our Fusion, which we used to only drive in good weather until I got my Honda. DH drives is Big Dodge truck, DS drives a Nissan Altima. We have an older Nissan 200 that we drive on rainy days too, it gets 40mpg, but it doesn't look to good, but it is dependable.

I have a fleet! :lmao: 2002 Honda CR-V (used by oldest son), 2004 Toyota Highlander (not hybrid...bought too soon...used by youngest son), 2004 Honda CR-V (mine...LOVE it!), and a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee (8 cyl gas guzzler that should have been traded in during "Cash for Clunkers" but the middle son in college needed its 4WD for Rochester, NY winters :scared1:). Then there is the 1988, yes, 1988 Mazda RX-7 that is my "poor man's Porsche". ;) It's not a winter car...doesn't even leave the garage all winter, so the battery is usually dead each spring, just as it is now...AAA will be called this weekend and it will be up and running after a jump and 1000 trips around the block to recharge and round out the tires! :lmao:

1995 Honda Accord wagon (yes really!!) that has about 235,000miles on it! I say about since the odometer has not worked for about 6 years. I have almost bought a new car the last several years but with the recession really hitting my income and the new Accords as nice as they are , do not get the same kind of gas mileage as my ole buggy. I am hanging onto this car until the END...best car I have ever owned!! Love having a wagon that fits all kinds of stuff and gets 28 mpgs. I know, I am obsessed! And it will be a Honda but probably a Civic....have heard rumors that there may be some kind of wagon type Civic with great mpgs in the 2012 model year.

We have a 2004 Kia Sorento and a 2009 Saturn Outlook. We love both of our cars. DW got the Saturn last summer. We have already made 2 great trips to Orlando with the Saturn. What a great car and has third row seating. Love this thread!

I drive a 2003 Camry and my DH drives a 2001 4-Runner. We've never had problems with either--only replaced brakes and tires. We drive cars until they die. We were talking about a Honda Pilot (used) purchase but as my DH's job is not secure, I'll keep driving my Camry.

The wife drives a 2004 Cadillac SRX AWD (with a DVC sticker) and a has had a lot of problems with it, but she loves it. I drive a 2006 Hummer H3 (also with DVC sticker) and have had no problems with it.

Oopps, forgot about the kids. Son drives a 2010 Subaru Impreza, and daughter drives a 2009 Subaru Impreza. Both are AWD.

We are a AWD or 4X4 family due to the winters here.

Am I really the only DVC owner who drives a Charger?

I have front and back Disney license plate holders, too. The back holder is Disney Vacation club.

2004 Intrepid and 2007 Sebring. I have purchased Chrysler products all my life. Seem to have good luck with them and good value also. Don't mind keeping my neighbours at work....but I do know people who have had some major problems with them also.

My grandfather drove a Plymouth, so did my dad. I drive my trusty old 2001 PT Cruiser with 160,000 trouble free miles. :thumbsup2

Only the police drive chargers around here, they think they're 'under cover' but if you see one, chances are it's a state trooper :rotfl:

Beautiful cars though. :thumbsup2

I've wanted to put DVC plate holders on my car but don't want my car to become targeted for a break-in. I heard designer license plates are a big no-no for that.

2004 Hyndai Santa Fe and 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Two best cars I ever owned--NO warranty issues with either one.
And I'm saying this having owned Chevy's ,Fords, Nissan, Toyota and Subaru in the past

Ditto for us. I have a '71 Celica in the garage that hasn't been driven since we "Family-ized" with our '98 Sienna van (almost 200K and going strong), but it still worked (230K) when we parked it. Threw a rod in our '87 Corolla at 300K (DH let the oil get low), and our used '93 Camry had an overheating problem and died at 270K (after we'd put 130K on it for $4000).

When the Camry died, we bought an '09 Prius (the only one on the lot at the time in Oct08 when they were hard to find) and WE LOVE IT. I get to drive it to work everyday, and it still fits all 4 of us when we go together (as long as we don't have TOO much luggage). Also love the typical 45-50 mpg (have gotten 54 mpg).

Besides the times the Corolla and Camry died for good, we've NEVER been stranded by these cars, which is why we keep buying them (and running them into the ground)!:thumbsup2
