What kind of car do all of us DVCer's drive?

2002 Hyundai Elantra GT hatchback. It is small, red and very basic. BUT --it is paid for!!:lmao:
2005 Toyota Sienna van (also paid for:thumbsup2)
I don't care what I drive...just as long as I get from Ato B safely. I drive 40min to and from work everyday. So, I need a little one tha is great on gas.
No car payments = more money to spend on Disney vacations and DVC:cloud9:

We usually take my DH's Tundra. We show up at BWV looking like the Clampits w/ all our luggage in the back covered w/ a tarp because his tanue cover leaks.

Well last month my car was hit, so we were forced to get a new car. Now my second favorite thing in this world.

Our '09 Ford Flex.

rear.jpg

I even loaded all our luggage in it during the test drive to be sure it would fit!

-We have an '07 Ford Expedition- Tax write off and great for our family trips.
-A '06 Honda Civic- VERY good cars w/ great gas mileage, it's my DH's commuter:thumbsup2.
-Then there is a '67 Mercury Cougar sitting in our garage, will be drivable in 4 months, so DH says and it will be a gas guzzler:lmao:

But Honda's are great cars! Very low maintenance cost.

-'09 Toyota Sienna - with kids, I love my living room on wheels. :rotfl:

Actually my 5yo just told me as we were coming back from the store that when he is old enough to buy a car he is going to buy a MINI-VAN!!!

-We have a 2005 Jaguar S-type , 2000 Chrysler mini-van(I love that van :woohoo: ) and about to go buy a gm product the Terrain.

I am on my 2nd Toyota Avalon Limited and love it. I passed my old one on to my college son and he likes it. He hated to give up his Nissan X-Terra, but it got lousy gas mileage. DH drives a company Chevy truck. My Avalon is a great travelling car.

I love my '09 Honda Odyssey. We finally splurged and got a vehicle that is loaded. DH loves it also and there is plenty of room. We took it to the world last October (drove from Northern Indiana), and my two DS (10 & 9) had lots of room. DH drives an Accord. Good luck in your search.

HONDA...........NOW YOU ARE TALKING, AND RESALE VALUE , A 5 YEAR OLD CIVIC HOLDS 62 % of its value up here in N W Indiana. My family have had 3 Honda Odyssey vans ,1 Accord and 3 Honda Civic . :thumbsup2 People from Indiana know their Cars. I got the "wantings" for a Honda CRV right now.

I drive an H3 Hummer and DH has a 1 ton Ford P/U and a Jeep Wrangler. We live in serious snow country and 4WD is a must around here! Even with my H3, I got stuck twice in my own driveway this winter!

I drive a 2005 Volvo XC-90, Dh has a Volvo S 60. We bought DD a 2008 Kia Sportage.

None of the cars get great mileage, in part because most of our miles are knocking around town.

DH's car has needed few repairs. DD's car has needed no repairs, but when she was involved in an accident after having the car for a few months, it was very difficult to get parts.

My car has needed the most. It eats tires for breakfast; it went thru 2 sets of Pirellis in less than 30,000 miles. My tire guy and I decided to go with cheap tires that we replace often. The replacement tires have now lasted over 35000 miles. Had issues with a leaking oil gasket, which caused me to have to replace me timing belt 60,000 miles earlier than expected. I've driven volvos since 1990, but this will probably be my last one.

While we're at it I should mention the WORST car I ever owned--a Chevy Vega. Remember those? The aluminum engine? It burned a quart of oil a week--it even burned STP!!
I got rid of it before one year was up---

I just traded a Ford Expedition for a Mustang Convertible which I love. I am thinking about getting another Expedition when the family goes somewhere with me. We had to rent a large SUV for the trip the WDW last month. DH drives a Honda Civic for works because he puts a lot of miles in daily. We love the Honda too. It actually has a bigger trunk that the Mustang because it has a woofer stero system in the trunk

We own the following:
2009 BMW 650i convertible -DH's
2008 BMW 328i convertible - Mine :lovestruc :lovestruc
2008 Escalade -
2006 Hyundai Azera - DD's
2006 Hyundai Tiboron - DS's
We've taken DH's car in the past when it's just the two of us. We've had plenty of room for the luggage in the trunk & we were still able to put the top down.
Last yr we took the truck only because we had my cousin & her two kids with us. We still had plenty of room for everyone including the luggage & coolers.
We flew down 2 weeks ago & after the plane ride from "Hell" home, I've already told DH we're driving in Sept. Our neighbors are gonna fly & we'll take there luggage with us....

LOL!!!!:lmao:

It does feel like a living room on wheels! We have a 2001 Sienna and I swear we could load it up and drive it to WDW tomorrow!! It still rides great and has never spent a day in the shop for unscheduled repairs.

Our other car is a 2005 Ody and it's been a great van too!! Much bigger than the Sienna and we have driven it to WDW every Christmas since we got it. It's loaded to the max and worth every penny!

We have been very blessed with great running vehicles:wizard:

We just traded my 2006 Volvo XC90 in for a 2010 Volvo XC60. Loved my XC90 and had no problems with it! I really :lovestruc my XC60 T6 AWD ... better mileage, smoother ride.

DH's fun car is a 2008 Volvo C-70 (convertible) which is his midlife crisis car ... we have a long convertible driving season here. We traded in a 2002 Volvo V40 for the C-70.

His other car is a 2007 Volvo XC70 ... It's a Volvo station wagon ... what can I say?

My first Volvo was a 2002 S60 that I loved ... but I had to get a Mom car ... hence the move to the XCs.

I dumped my hummer and bmw for the best car I've ever owned.

Classic lines and styling, it's comfortable and has room to spare.
On board GPS makes it easy for to get to WDW. The self sealing tires means we don't even have to stop while driving thru accident sites or recently passed torando damaged areas!

Man-gets-bored_-builds-Family-Truckster_7987_2.jpg

Yup! You guessed it!...it's a 1983 Wagon-Queen Family Truckster
Every year we head to Orlando we say to ourselves....this isn't a vacation...it's a quest!

;)

I drive a 2004 Toyota Camry SE.

Wife drives a 2008 Lexus RX350.

We just had our first child 9/15/09. We are thinking of getting rid of the Camry and getting either a Toyota Siena, Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Town and Country or a Volkswagen Routan.

Black 2009 HHR, great car except for the cup holders! Roomy, comfortable and a LOT of room in the back, with a "floor" that can be raised so you have a "hidden" shelf for valuables.

2nd car, 2008 Chevy Trailblazer. Awesome car/truck.

Hey we have some things in common! For out of town trips, we have a 2003 Ford Expedition, nice for loading up. :thumbsup2 In town we drive our 2002 Chevy Malibu. I say in town only because it is a lemon and has threatened not to start on us, but won't do it for the dealer!

The one that I didn't expect to see is the Mercury Cougar, we have a 1970 convertible that is being restored (everything, completely) and will be just like 1970 when it's done (well except for the hidden 6 CD changer in the trunk controlled by the "vintage" radio in the dash.

Lastly there is our 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible with suicide doors that was completely restored three years ago.

I driver a 2008 Honda FIT, I call it the Harry Potter car, because it looks so small on the outside, but holds a ton on the inside!

The wife has a 2006 BMW 325xi - great car, even makes it through our winters with ease! Plus VERY fun to drive :cool2:

We have a 2008 King Ranch Expedition for our long trips to WDW. Kids can not get close enough to touch each other :lmao:.Around home we drive a 2008 Nissan Altima.
