Hello Everyone! :flower3:

I am doing a brunch menu. I don't drink and I'm trying to cut costs. What type of alcohol drinks can I offer? Is it better to just choose one drink like a Mimosa? What other type of alcohol drinks could I offer without having to do a BOC package? I was thinking Shirley Temples are cute or Pina Coladas, Daquiri's.....Thanks.

I went to a friend's wedding recently, and instead of having a bar, they set up a few bottles of wine, some soft drinks and water, and a bottle of jack daniels on each of the tables.

I'm not sure if Disney does this, but it was a great way to save money, and make sure no one got messy drunk. It was a night reception.

I think I was the only person with a complaint, and it was that there was only pepsi or lemonaide available as the soft drinks, both drinks I can't stand, but there's no way I would have said anything to the bride and groom. :rotfl:

We're having a BOC full bar with coctails and all. DFi's family really likes to drink.

my firend is planning on having some bottles of wine (enough for everyone to have a glass, but most don't drink so those that do will get 2 glasses) then she'll have soda, sweet tea, and water.

For brunch, I think just having mimosas for an alcoholic choice is just fine, especially since you don't drink.

As a drinker, that's what I like to have at brunch, anyway.

If you need two, you can do Bloody Marys and Mimosa! Easy-peasy!

We thought about a brunch for our rehearsal with mimosa's and the price was outrageous. They bill it at one or two per person, at $6.95 a drink. Plus tax and gratuity of course. We ended up with a lunch and a beer/wine package. It was cheaper. I love mimosa's at a brunch

We had a brunch this past November at ADH. Our ceremony was at 9:00am and our prereception was from 10:00 to 11:00. We had coffee, tea, water, and champagne punch at our prereception. We had 50 people. I can't remember how many pitchers of punch we ordered but whatever was left over from the prereception was brought down to our reception and set out on the bar.

We did a champagne toast but had them fill everones glass only 1/2 way as most people do not drink this anyway but we really wanted a champagne toast.

We had a BOC for all drinks which we had to pay for prior to the event. We got alot of money back after they figured out how many drinks were served. I can't remember exactially but I will say that with 50 people there were about 4 or 5 glasses of wine served, 5 drinks, 16 beers and everything else was soda or water. As everyone was coming from NY/NJ we really wanted to offer them drinks but figured being a brunch not that many people would drink too much and we were right.

Linda,

I like the idea of champagne punch. That is something I would drink.

I would do a BOC bar. I bet you'll get a lot refunded because that early I am sure most people are not going to drink anyway.
