What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

Well, I now live in a historic area with lots of 200+ year old homes, so lots of stuff is outdated, and will probably stay that way. Part of the charm. Gotta be careful waling on the brick sidewalks.

Lots of old people who still wear their hair as if the 70s never ended.
? I have no idea what you mean by this. You mean old people with Farrah Fawcett hair? I don't see any of those.

Probably Disney - we went a couple times when I was a kid and my Mom definitely wouldn't have gone if she didn't have us.

My mother is English, although moved to the US when she was a child. My father’s family is from Scotland, and I have some cousins that live up near Inverness that I have had a chance to visit with, and they have also traveled to the US. I did my MSc at Oxford, and lived for about a year in London. Did a great walking tour of Snowdonia about 20 years ago and really enjoyed that. I’ve not had a chance to visit Northern Ireland, yet.

The whole Brexit thing was interesting to watch from a distance. My English friends were all opposed to it, but my Scottish friends were in favor. I think they are hopeful that there will be a new Scottish Independence vote and that this one will be successful. I think Scotland may then join the EU!
The Scots will never give up!

Going to older relatives houses (my parents' parents/aunts/uncles). Always in fancy dresses with orders to behave. Now I wish I had been more aware and listened to them more to learn family history.

Going to my aunt and uncles. They were much older than my parents and my cousins were all hillbillies.

We don't know either of them very well but since they're both elderly bachelors that I rarely ever notice doing anything, I'm at least hoping my life is better.

Pot holes that can swallow your car, pumps that are chronically out of service despite the fact that the only way to get rainwater out of the city is to pump it out, nutria (swamp rats the size of small dogs), carjackings, swarming termites, flying cockroaches, drunk tourists, tent cities, random shootings, and most recently garbage that wasn't picked up for almost three weeks because the contractor didn't want to pay a living wage. But the benefits FAR outweigh the problems, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else on earth.

It's a completely different world than when I became an adult and entered the adult workforce. There wasn't near the disparity there is now. Doctors and lawyers had the rich expensive best of the best stuff, not middle class. Nor did the working class have the best of the best with using massive debt back then.

The internet. We pay twice as much for half the speed as my mother does in suburbia, because the provider has a local monopoly and the town isn't big enough for investment in better infrastructure to be profitable.

Me, nothing. But apparently back when pocket calculators were new and expensive, my engineer father accidentally left his in the backseat of an acquaintance's car. Never did get it back. He replaced it, and then promptly drove off with it on the roof of his car. My parents were newly married, and my mom threatened divorce (facetiously) if anything happened to the third one.
