Where do you llike to go to watch the fireworks if you are not in the park? I'm specifically wondering about wishes, but would like to know about illuminations as well. WIth the May hours out, and wishes only offered one park day for us, I was wondering if we might end up watching it from outside the MK one of the other days.

Thanks!

The view of the Pleasure Island fireworks is great right from my Hotel room window at the Grosvenor across the street. I'm sure it would be just as good from the Hilton, too.

Viewed MK fireworks from beach at Poly resort and thought it was great and very little crowd.:wave2: ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

My favorite is from the beach at FW. Then hang around for the EWP. That's heaven in my book!

DH and I love to lay on the hammocks in Jamaica (CBR) - it is so beatutiful - can't wait to do it next month:)

Illuminations from our standard view BWV room, you can even hear the music! You can also see part of Illuminations from the bridge near ESPN and the International Gateway.

For Wishes, there is a viewing platform at the Contemporary, I believe the music is piped in.

Beach at the Polynesian (preferably in a hammock).

The Polynesian beach is the best view of any fireworks outside of a park. From that vantage point, the fireworks appear above Cinderella's Castle.

Be sure to get there before 9 PM so you can start your evening by watching the Electric Water Pagent. Then, between the end of that and the start of Wishes, stroll on up to the Barefoot Pool Bar and enjoy a wonderful, frozen, tropical drink (or two......or three..................or four  ).

There's a pavillion on the Boardwalk near the ESPN Club that's a great spot to see Illuminations. You can hear the music and see the fireworks rising above the trees and also see the Eifell Tower light up with twinkle lights.

If you can work it right, the view of the Wishes fireworks rising above Port Orleans French Quarter as you glide by on the Sassagoula River Cruise from Downtown Disney is absolutly beautiful. So peaceful as the relaxing music is piped throughout the boat as it glides past the romantic "Big Easy".

I've never seen the fireworks from the Poly Beach but I would like to someday. I have seen the Electrical Water Pagent and Kiss Goodnight from there though and it was wonderful.

I have GOT to try this! I keep hearing about seeing the fireworks from outside the parks, and I think being in a hammock and watching the fireworks must be divine!

I've always stayed at CSR whcih isn't close to anything - no fireworks there :( Now I get to see the PI fireworks from "home" at SSR!

I would love to see the fireworks from the Poly, but where do you park if you are staying at another resort? Are you allowed to just walk to the beach or does security question you? We are going at Easter, and I would love to be out of the crowds. Can you also hear the music?

No need to "park" anywhere. Use Disney transportation......busses, monorail or boats.

Yes, you can walk directly to the beach. No one should question you.

The last time I was there (for Fantasy in the Sky), they had big speakers mounted on the island out in Seven Seas Lagoon, just off the shore of the Polynesian......and they were aimed at the Polynesian beach so you could hear the music. I'm not sure if they still do that or not.

We were just at Ohana's Tuesday night and I was thrilled that they dimmed the lights and piped in the music to the wishes show it was AMAZING! We were right at the window and the view, music and show was awesome the show is long so we sipped our tropical drinks and enjoyed the show! This was unexpected and since it was rainging it was a magical moment!
