What is your favorite Musical (movie)

Anyone else here just love musicals? I caught the second half of Grease two nights ago and just sang along....my 6 year old loved the greased lightnin song.

Other musical movies I love: Sound of Music, West Side Story, Mouline Rouge, Chicago....

High Society (Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby! Huge, Huge, HUGE Bing Crosby fan!!) I'm like the chickens on Looney Tunes. I swoon at the sound of his voice! ROFL

Also Grease, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Oklahoma, Beauty and the Beast....okay, I'll stop now before you all think I'm just a big geek!

I love movie musicals, I like Bugsy Malone and Grease a lot. I' going to be in a stage version of The Sound of Music later on this year and I can't wait!! I enjoyed doing Oliver and Singing in the Rain too.

Also love Meet Me In St Louis - my 10 yo daughter's favourite too. She sang the Trolley Song (felt like) all day every day for a fortnight!

She can't understand why I cry every time Margaret O'Brien destroys her snow people (she'll understand when she's a mum).

Not mentioned yet but my favorite is Gigi. Great story and wonderful songs. I especially love the songs "I'm Glad I'm Not Young Anymore" and "I Remember It Well". Maurice Chevalier and Hermione Gingold were wonderful!

Other favorites included, Grease, West Side Story and Gypsy.
