What is your favorite jar pasta sauce?

do not care for ANY of them. If I do use sauce, maybe once, twice a year. I make it homemade.

I think we get Bertolli (or whatever was formerly known as Five Brothers). We've probably tried all the flavors, and all of them are yummy. I don't care for other sauces like Ragu, they're way too sugary for my taste.

ITA.

I also like Classico.

Rao's Arrabiatta sauce(it's expensive but SOOOO worth it! tastes like homemade- I don't have to add anything to this one)
I am also a fan of the Classico Tomato and Basil- but I stock that one with veggies when I use it.

I like Barilla and Classico best, however I will eat really anything available. Wegman's makes a nice puttanesca that I really like.

We love Prego traditional and I doctor it up with lots of spices, fresh garlic and onions and some hamb.

We like Ragu chunky garden style w/tomato, garlic, and onion. I add some of my own spices to it, plus brown meat to make it a meaty sauce.

Thanks for all of the replies, I think I'll try a couple of those.

I do want to add, I don't use just plain sauce, I usually add italian saugsage to it. I'll cook a bunch, ground it up and then freeze it in small amounts. Then I'll just pull out one of the bags and add it to the sauce.

Prego traditional - lots of garlic, oregano, and onions added.

My mom made homemade spaghetti sauce growing up - I liked it, but my dad never would eat it. Once I moved out, I opted for this, and he has been eating my spaghetti ever since. Ticked Mom off!!:rotfl:

Ragu....regular.....and Vincents medium sauce....only jars I like:confused3
Kerri

I brown up 2 lbs. Italian sausage (taken out of the casing) add to it 2 large jars of Prego traditional, divide into storage bowls and freeze.

Same here. I'm really surprised that there are three pages worth of people who use jar sauce. I mean I know they have a million kinds at the grocery store, and I know that logically it makes sense that if they have so much of it, then people MUST be using it, but I just can't fathom picking up and using a jar of jarred sauce. I don't like any of them :confused3

I'm not italian, I just grew up on homemade sauce and now I don't like anything else. I don't have ANYTHING at all against jar sauce users whatsoever. I'm glad lots of people have ones that they like, but I truly am surprised that so many people use it. It's like one of those things that you know exists but you don't believe it till you see it. LOL

If you use italian sausage, I'm going to reiterate my choice for Ragu Roasted Garlic (I think it's Robusto) - that's how I serve it and the flavor combination is delicious.

I keep a jar on hand when I am pressed for time or am out of tomato paste. Sometimes I just don't have the time to sit around and wait for a homemade sauce to simmer for an hour or so to allow the flavors to develop.

You say you have nothing against jar sauce users, but your post seems VERY judgemental. I personally wondered who ate Ragu sauce, b/c I personally cannot stand it, but noticed that a lot of people on this board seem to eat it.

I guess I don't really understand why you would interject your opinion - I only eat homemade sauce - when the OP said she wanted opinions of jar sauce only. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

oh good lord. I am not judging anyone. Use the jar sauce! Hooray that you like it!! What possible difference could it make to me? Why would spaghetti sauce be something to judge someone over? Seriously. LOL! Besides, I try to abide by judge not, lest ye be judged.

I felt like joining in because I was honestly surpised and because it's a free country and it's a message board, you can jump into any conversation you want. I read the ENTIRE thread and was honestly surprised to see that so many people use jarred sauce and felt like sharing that, Because I found it interesting. I don't look down on anyone for using it. Unless someone feels like they are doing something wrong by using it(which I most certainly do not), then I don't see how they could feel like someone was judging them.

I have NO issue with it at all. Why would I care what anyone else uses? They're eating it in their house, which has nothing to do with me. LOL! I was just surprised and thought I'd jump in and participate. Nothing more, nothing less. Honestly....people are so defensive.

And with that, it's time to go to work. I guess I'm not welcome anyway so it seems like a perfect time to scoot out. Have a great day everyone!

Barilla! Any variation of it:thumbsup2

Except I really like WalMarts own Alfredo Sauce!
