What is your favorite cookie ever? Recipe?

This is my family's chocolate chip recipe. I just made a double batch a few days ago and they are gone! They are never flat either.

1 1/3 cup butter or margarine (I use marg)softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 package Nestle toll house chips

350 degrees for 11-13 minutes

CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 cups good quality semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS
1.Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
2.Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
3.In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
4.Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

I use Ghirardelli chocolate chips and chill the dough before baking so they don't flatten out. I think the recipe is from allrecipes or recipezaar.

This is the same recipe I use, except I don't sift anything and I don't chill the dough. I got it out of the Chicago Tribune food section years ago. Great cookies!

my favorite cookie is oatmeal cookies off the quaker box but instead of raising add craisins and white chocolate chips...

Thank you guys for all of the recipes! Now I am going to peruse the cabinets to see what I have handy. :)

PS is real butter Salted or Unsalted? What to use for cookies?

I use salted butter and omit the salt from the recipe. If you use unsalted butter, add the salt.
