What is your dogs name and why?

Chell, there used to be a Hanna Barbera cartoon character named "Auggie Doggie." That's probably who your dog was named from.

Our year and a half old lab/Rottie combo is named Max. My son chose the name because it's the Grinch's dog's name. (We got Max at Christmas time last year.)

Max is the greatest name! So many cute nicknames we've come up with: Maxi, Maxidog, Maximoto, Maxcito, Max-a-dax (don't ask). The possibilities are endless!

Our dog's name is Ariel. Why...

She has red hair and loves to swim. She is a golden retriever. LOL But she also has the temperment of Ariel.

She is always where she is not supposed to be, she gets into lots of trouble and can't listen to directions. Of course, she is only 8 months old, but I think she was named well.

We have a 5 year-old Golden Retriever whose name is Madison. I loved the name since the movie "Splash" & always said if I had a daughter I would name her that. Well......3 boys, no girl. We got a puppy and everyone in our house already knew what her name was going to be.

Hopefully, we'll be getting our puppy this month. We're going to call him Rollie. I wanted a baseball name, so I went through my book on Hall of Famers. Rollie Fingers turned out to be our favorite. Boy, I can't wait to meet the little guy.....

McGee was named after my favorite song "Bobby McGee". However his full name is Abraham McGee and not Bobby McGee. When we rescued him, his name was Abraham so we kept that. He gets called McGee though. Lilo was named after Lilo & Stitch. We're so creative.

Clara Belle (after the lead in the Nutcracker and the princess). So my dd was 4 when we got her!!! And I sometimes call her CB for short.

Duncan came named, but his name (and also that he's a cocker spaniel) was the reason DH finally agreed to get a dog. So his full name with us is Duncan McLeod, after the Highlander. I need to make him a kilt. lol

We have Bradley, a silkly terrier. Bradley because he was my graduation-from-college-birthday-christmas-instead-of-a-new-couch present, (can you tell he was too expensive?) and DH and I met at Bradley University my freshman year.

Then 6 months later we got our cocker spaniel, because Bradley needed a friend. For the first three days he was "Bradley's Puppy". But then he became Murphy Brown. He has the disposition of Charlie Brown, but Murphy just fit him to a tee.

I originally wanted them to be Oliver and Winston, but DH didn't want any "stuffy" dog names. When I was little, we had a spaniel named Thurston Marcus Howard..... don't ask, too many Gilligan's Island re-runs.

Sasha (Cocker Spaniel) is from Peter and the Wolf but lately she has been called Empress Sasha.
Snickers (Lab/Australian Shepherd mix) was called Sneakers because she fell asleep in one when she was a puppy it gradually became Snickers.
Root Bear (German Shepherd/Chow? mix) was shaped like a Root Beer bottle when we got him, the vet misspelled his name on a chart and it stuck.
Merlin (Springer) from the movie Merlin he also goes by Squirlie Merlie.

Our mutt's name is Boone. DH named him. He just thought it sounded cool.

Our Brittnay is Snickers because of his coloring and face. Poor dog, we named him the one thing he can't eat.

Wanted for eating many soccer balls, purses, doc martins, and a plethora of shoes.

Her name means: Princess b/c she thinks she is one, Lady b/c of lady & the tramp, & nola is a short abbreviation of New Orleans LouisianA, where we used to live & where she was born.

Her aliases include: Lady, Grey Elephant, Dog, Ms. Dog, Ms. Lady.


(on a side note almost everyone that sees her thinks she's a greyhound, doberman, or rottweiler! Why? I dunno...)

Boo Boo, but we call him Boo for short. His name fits him.

Our golden retriever is almost 2. His name is Trapper...actually Troublesome Trapper. He isn't into trouble as much as he used to be, but he sure can cause some ruckus around here. He is on the blonde side and listens pretty good. He is afraid of the vacuum!! He loves to chase birds and squirrels in our yard.

Lady is a cocker spaniel...my dh and his mom named her (she was their dog).
