Just thought I would ask what everyones best or favorite Disney magic moment was. I would imagine that it would vary quite a bit from one person to the other and was just wondering what everyone thought on this. I know my most magical moment didn't even happen on Disney property but happened on the way to Disneyland on a shuttle bus. Some of you may have read about it on another thread where I put it down, but I'll put it down here to start this off.

This actually happened on my wifes first visit ever to Disneyland and she didn't realize it until after she had been and she caught the Disney fever just how special this was.

We were riding on the shuttle that runs from the off site hotels to Disneyland. The driver stops at this one stop and we noticed this very old man (had to be at least 80) that needed a cane to get around and could barely even walk very slowly stepping onto the bus. The bus driver looked over in amazement at him and his just as old wife and said "You do know this bus is going to Disneyland, right"? The old man who was slowly climbing the two stairs onto the bus looked up at him and with a grin from ear to ear and said "Your damn right I do, and were getting on it and going to Disneyland." The whole bus sat silent for a second in amazement thinking "wow" then a huge cheer broke out.

My wife even says that the guy was blind, I don't remember that, but she swears he was. It was just so great, here was this old man, barely able to even move around and in his 80's and he was going to the Happiest Place On Earth and he was loving every second of it, despite his health conditions. He still had the fever! I would imagine that his day only got better and better and his smile only got bigger and bigger. I can only hope that I will still be able to enjoy Disney when I'm in my 80's.

It was and still is the greatest magic of Disney moments I have seen in my life. My wife and I still talk about that old man to this day and that was 31 years ago.

So lets hear your best magic moment is!!!!! :thumbsup2

I have always lived less than 10 minutes away from Disneyland, and have been going to the park for over 30 years... Our high school prom was at the old hotel, grad night , but I have to say true magic took place when I saw everything through my daughters eyes. I was moved to tears a couple summers ago during the "Remember... Dreams Come True" Firework show in front of the castle, my DD pointing at Dumbo flying through the sky, while standing next to my mother. Disney MAGIC!

Our family went to Disneyland last Christmas and it was the best time of the year to go. I loved being with family and all the decorations.

I remember that story! It still makes me teary! This will be DH and me!! HAHA

I loved going at Christmas. The decor, the music, the smells..it was just EXTRA magical. So that trip (the only one we've taken at Christmas) was one of my most magical experiences. I think the funnest part was during the parade the night we won the dream suite. The CM who helped award us the prize was a dancer in the parade...as we were sitting in our reserved area by the teacups to watch the parade, he danced over and said HI SOPHIA to my daughter. She was so shocked haha!!

My best piece of Disney Magic came from the Dis. An amazing member gifted me a reservation for 2 at Club 33 for my DD's 16th birthday, the look on her face as she rang the bell, gave my name and we were welcomed to the Club was absolutely priceless, I will never forget that kindness.

I've put off answering this so I could really figure out my "best" DL moment. There are so many great ones.
I have decided my favorite moment was on DD12's 10th birthday. She chose DL over a traditional birthday that year. On her birthday she wanted the Kitchen Sink from PCH Grill. She had seen a show on tv where some guy was challenged to eat it alone. She was determined to eat it herself. As the CMs brought out this GIANT ice cream sundae thing they sang her a version of Happy Birthday then out from behind them came Grandma and Grandpa. She was so happy she started crying. She even shared the sundae with Grandma. It was such a beautiful moment seeing the love on her face for her family. A moment I will cherish forever.
And NO she couldn't eat the whole thing. ;)

Well my weirdest/strangest moment was when we took son in Jan to be CM in the College Program. We spent like four days , a couple in LV and then a couple in Anaheim. You know your old when you leave your son in the land of Charlie Manson and earthquakes(5.2 last week in Orange County) 1500 miles from Texas. It was really hard on mom, many tears were shed. Its so strange he never calls from the dorm/apartment because there are like 5 of them in a two bedroom.Always from the park and he lets us hear the ride in background like Star Tours or racers or Pirates, etc. They go there on their off days.Overall it was a good thing he has grown up alot seems to be doing well.Mom/Dad not so much going back in 30 days to see him..

When we went in May of 2011, it was a rough trip, to say the least. My niece died right before we left (I wanted to cancel the trip, my sister and oldest daughter said my niece would want us to go, so we did, bad choice, wasn't thinking right, was NOT in my right mind) and my younger daughter got VERY sick while we were there. So sick, that the manager of the PPH went into the kitchen before noon and made her homemade chicken soup (soups are available until after 4 at any of the DLR hotels) that he delivered to her himself. He then had balloons and a Tinker Bell gift set sent up, with a coloring book and a lot of other neat things. While it did not make up for not leaving the room for 3 days, yes she was that sick, it was so nice of him/them to do. Above and beyond that, we were a mess, and they were so nice to us. My daughter (her cousin was one day older than her and her BFF for life) was broken and tears would just roll down her face from time to time. CMs were always very respectful (they could see we were in pain) and always checked to be sure there was nothing they could do to help us. It was amazing. So amazing that I wrote a letter to thank them and to tell a manager about the awesome kitchen manager and our incredible stay at PPH and their great CMs. I also told them that PPH was so awesome, we were going back for Christmas (we deserved a do-over), which we did. Well guess what? We were the Big Kahuna family. We got free upgrade to concierge (which we were planning to pay for) and there were gifts for all the kids when we got in the room. So our Disney magic really spilled from one horrible trip to one fabulous trip.

You picked two of the worst things you could have left your son in....you also left him in the land of sunshine, the land of Disneyland, the land of Sea World, the land of happiness. CA isn't that bad......lol Enjoy your next visit! :)

Thank you. It was very surreal to be in The Happiest Place on Earth during such a tragic to,e for our family. I had a good laugh/cry with a wonderful CM at PPH.
