What is your absolutely I will never forget moment at Disney?

Finally getting a photo taken with Donald and Daisy together.

Wow, how did you accomplish that. It's funny, my wife and I were talking about that very thing. How hard it is to find Donald Duck. But you got him and Daisy. That photo is going to worth a lot of money.

Last August on Test Track, we were able to get fast passes. Every time we have tried before the ride was closed for some reason. I use a walker so we were talking to the CM who had us stand out of the line. He put us in the front in our very own car!! When it came time to get out they asked if we wanted to go around again! We ended up going 3 times!!! :goodvibes

I had to wait 45 years for my first chance to visit WDW. My parents , bless their hearts were the kind of people that just couldn t imagine why people would spend that kind of money to go on vacation.Of course after I got out on my own it was a while before I could afford to spend that kind of money on a vacation.I will never forget standing on Main Street looking at the castle at age 45 and crying like a 5 year old. My family still doesn t understand why even when I see WDW on the travel channel I get a lump in my throat but to me those memories are priceless.

This February, we were watching the Spectromagic parade when the fairy godmothers went by. My 4 yr. old DD was waving like crazy at the one in pink and as she went by she was doing the "bibiddi, bopiddi, boo" and pointed her wand right at DD. It made my DD so happy I will never forget it.

My memory might sound a little strange but it is one I will never forget.
We were in Epcot last year and my dd7 was VERY excited to do Test Track. We waited in line and the closer we got, the quiter he got and he was holding tight to my hand. We got to the "gates" where they tell you which number to stand in to wait for the car. The full car of riders come back and those people begin to get off. My son turns to me with such a look of relief and said, "Oh, you don't die on this ride!" He thought we were actually going to be the crash dummies!!! :rotfl:

Told you it was strange!! BTW, Test Track is his all time favorite ride now.

Lots of times I read something on here that makes me chuckle but this actually made me laugh out loud. Your son is too funny! :rotfl:

The moment I will never forget is walking through EPCOT on my wedding day on our way to view Illuminations. The park guests who were already seated waiting for Illuminations to begin clapped and shouted their congratultions to us as we walked. It made DH and I, (and all our guests) feel very special, and was a great way to cap off a magical day!

It had always been a dream of mine to have the whole family together in WDW and back in May of 2000 my parents, in-laws, and my sister finally joined us and there were so many wonderful memories made on that trip.

My parents and in-laws joined us for the last few days of the trip and it was to be a surprise for my DDs. I will never forget the look of sheer joy on their faces when, walking towards Test Track first thing in the morning, they saw their grandparents! (my parents) standing there :goodvibes A little later on my oldest DD commented that the only thing that would make her birthday even better was if Grammy and Granddad were there. Well, about 20 minutes later she was surprised again when we met up with them near Spaceship Earth.

That evening we had PS for Rose and Crown. We managed to snag a patio table for Illuminations (this was back when begging and pleading was allowed). Now my Mother had always disliked theme parks and shows - it just wasn't her thing so she wasn't particularly excited about seeing it (my favorite show). Once it started though, she was mesmerized. I don't think I even saw the show that night because I was too busy watching her face....her expression was priceless. After it was over she said with childlike wonderment: 'I've never seen anything like that in my life!' :goodvibes

There were many more memories I have of that day...of sharing my favorite place in the world with the whole family all together. I hear horror stories of people who vacation with parents and in-laws but we had such a wonderful, magical time. That day in EPCOT and the following day in MK were truly two of the best days of my life and those memories bring me comfort now that my mom is gone.

My best moment is probably the first time I was at WDW in our old motorhome with my aunt and uncle. We just came back from MK and heard this music playing from somewhere and didn't think anything of it. Then the next night we heard it again! So we went wandering around FW and came to the beach, where the music was coming from, and saw the Electric Water Pageant.

Other memories that I'll never forget is that same trip, seeing SpectroMagic for the first time. It continues to be my favorite night show just because it's so nostalgic for me.

Seeing Wishes last summer was definately a memory I'll never forget because I cried! I mean tears were rolling down my face! I probably was so over-emotional because I hadn't been to WDW in over 6 years and I was taking it all in and it was the perfect way to end the first day at the parks.

Another poster agreed on me on this one - walking into the lobby of the WL for the first time. What an unbelievable feeling, it's without a doubt the best hotel on Disney property.

This past trip we all agree that the best moment was watching SpectroMagic together on the first night, IllumiNations on the second to last night, and Wishes the last night. It's funny ... We all do something different during the day but all come together at night for the shows. :)

One special memory I will cherish forever happened just over a week ago, we had been at Disney for the week (March 5-12) with me, DH, DS, and DD along with my mom, dad, and brother. The last night (11th) that we were in MK, just me, DH, DS, and DD. We had gotten curb seats to watch the last Spectromagic show at 10:00, sitting right in front of Casey's. I had gotten some hot dogs that the kids were eating while waiting for the parade and the little carts come out with the lights and glowing things. We had brought our own that we purchased at the Disney store before leaving. DS who is 7 and had worked very hard at saving his money all year is sitting on the curb behaving himself and DD almost 2 is sitting in her stroller. DS gets up and asks me, "mom can I buy something for Alicia with my money?" He goes over to the cart and asks how much the light up roses are and comes back to request $6 of his money and buys his little sister a rose. That was truely a special magic moment for me as sometimes he has a hard time with the attention that she gets from strangers, etc.......he was an only child for 5-1/2 years so having a little sister was an adjustment. Was so proud of him.....what a great little guy he is!

Gosh, I’ve got several magical moments.

1) My wedding day. It was such an incredible experience, and we feel so blessed to have gotten married at Disney World. I remember several really magical moments from that day. I remember the look on my husband’s face as I walked down the aisle toward him (a 32 tooth grin for sure). I remember watching Illuminations with my new husband by my side and surrounded by our family and friends. I remember a special moment with a little girl at the GF. I was leaving the GF to head to the Wedding Pavilion when a little girl saw me and was so excited. She said, “It’s my birthday!” I realized she must’ve thought I was a princess so I mustered up my best, nicest princess voice and told her “Happy Birthday!” She was thrilled and I heard her tell her mom how nice it was to see a princess on her birthday. Truly a magical moment! I remember dancing with my dad at our reception, and him asking me if it was all I had ever dreamed of, and of course it was!
2) We were waiting in a long line at Toontown Fair to meet Mickey’s friends. It was taking forever—for some reason the princess and Pooh lines moved much faster. They let a group in line in front of us go in, so we were then the next people in line. At that point I was pretty tired of waiting in line and knew we needed to leave the park soon to head back home. Well, then Donald himself comes up, takes my hand, and leads me back to meet the other characters. You would’ve thought I was 5. I ditched my poor husband and went happily down the hallway holding Donald’s hand. I don’t know why as an adult it still means so much to me, but I was thrilled!
3) My trip with my mom, best friend, and grandma in 1999. The funny thing about this trip is that you would’ve thought we had a miserable time. So many things went wrong. We stayed offsite and our room was filthy—a roach actually climbed across a nightstand one night. My grandmother snored so loudly the first night that it kept us all up, so we made her get her own room the next day. I wasn’t feeling well during part of the trip. Like I said, doesn’t sound too good at all. But I have some of the best memories from that trip. My grandma can’t walk too far without getting really tired, so we rented her an electric wheelchair. It was raining one day, so she had on her yellow Mickey poncho. Well, she took off in her wheelchair really fast down a hill, and her yellow poncho was flying through the air behind her like Zorro’s cape. We all died laughing as grandma continued speeding off! When we were parking at the Magic Kingdom parking lot, I guess grandma was a little surprised at the number of people there. All of a sudden from the back seat we hear her loudly take the Lord’s name in vain. We all scream, “Grandma!” and she says in the most syrupy sweet voice you’ve ever heard, “I was just saying the name of Jesus” as though she did it in worship. We were cracking up! I also remember renting a surrey bike on the BoardWalk. Grandma kept insisting that she was pedaling, but she was really just letting her feet rest on the pedals and go around as the rest of us pedaled. Too funny! As you can see, my grandma is a real character!

ooohhh this is hard

but I guess I would say watching the MVMCP fireworks over my bday dinner at CG with DH and my mom and dad

love everyones stories!

OH my! The one about the engagement with the lady having a picture and tracking you down gave me major goosebumps! Awwwww!!

I have another one.......... one recent trip when I was still recovering from chemo but at least had a bit of peach fuzz up top, we happened to catch the Piano Player guy outside Casey's.

He asked what he could play for me. I had DD then 4 on my lap in a wheelchair, and we decided on "You Are My Sunshine" since we sing it every night before bed.

Well, he plays this great version with Kevin and me singing along. What fun!

Then as he leaves, he told me it had been an HONOR to play for me. I never felt so SPECIAL in all my life.

Why do I go to WDW 50 million times???? For moments like these.... they pop up when you least expect them and you never forget 'em!

It was our first trip (2002) first day at the World in the MK and my youngest dd's 2nd birthday. We were walking and out of nowhere a band surrounded us and began singing Happy Birthday to my daughter in the stroller! Everyone crowded around the see the birthday girl and I have it on video...her smile lit up the whole MK that day! That is my most favorite memory. 2nd would be when Jasmine gave my oldest dd (4 at the time) a huge hug at CRT (same day). Have that on video tape too and I love to watch it, she was so proud that Jasmine gave her hug, and it was a genuine hug, KWIM? 3rd fav memory was on our 2nd trip and both of my daughters got picked to be Lumiere in Storytime with Belle. I ran out to get DH who was sitting on a bench to bring the camcorder...he comes in and as he is setting up the camcorder, someone walks over and picks him to be the beast! It was his birthday but he wasn't wearing a button, I think my youngest told them though. LOL So my whole family was up acting out Beauty and the Beast (my favorite movie BTW). Ok, I have to stop, tears are coming!

We took a horrendous train ride from Boston to Orlando, right after 9-11, 28 hours! When we got to the Poly in late afternoon, all I wanted was a shower, and decent food.

After we showered and ate something, the kids and DH swam in the pool and I grabbed a lounge chair. It was dark, and I started to nod off, when the MK fireworks began. I practically cried, it was so beautiful - and the return trip by train was a week off!

my dh proposing to me in front of the castle on sept. 8th, 2001, the first day of our first 'real' vacation together. :cloud9:

unfortunately i will also never forget that i was in epcot when the events of 9/11 happened.

Life is a fragile thing. We can be up so high, when reality brings us down. Thank goodness for Disney. Walt Disney started this all. He said a mouse started it all, but he created the mouse. It's the old what came first the chicken or the egg? So enjoy your todays. Tomorrow may not come. We count our days to our next visit to the world. We know we may not make it there, but half of the fun is the planning and the anticipation. Keep sharing your memories of Disney. The World may be around forever, for our kids, and their kids, and their kids, and their kids , etc. etc.

Oh my goodness. There are so many for me but the one that stand out most now was 2 yrs ago when my dd was 3, she loved Mary Poppins. LOVED HER!! lol. Well, she also has a slight speech problem, so certain letters sound funny, so she basically called her "harry puffins" . So she sees Mary riding the carousel horses in MK, and was thrilled. She was so happy. So we tried to catch her coming off, but it was so crowded and such we lost her. She was sooo dissappointed, but we turned to walk away and there she was posing for pics near Ariels grotto. My sweet little one went running yelling " Harry Puffins, Harry Puffins", and Mary was so kind to her. It was so cute, and it still brings tears to my eyes.

Okay, I'm crying my eyes out here. :umbrella: This is a great thread.

A few years ago, we went to Epcot on Halloween. DS5, who was dressed for Halloween as Buzz Lightyear, and I were in the Test Track store, waiting for DH and DD8 to ride TT "1 last time". The nicest young CM surprised the heck out of my son by asking him, as "Buzz", for his autograph! I'll never forget the look in my son's eyes! He was so proud to be able to write his name for the CM. To top it off, the CM gave my son one of his own Mickey trading pins. When I quickly said, "Oh no, thanks, we don't have any to trade," the CM said, "That's okay. I want him to have it." (You can believe that I wrote a nice note to that CM's supervisor as soon as we got home.)

It was last October watching the Share A Dream Come True Parade. When Mickey Mouse's float passed us Mickey said, Hey those ears look familiar and did his sweet laugh. :earsboy: We had one of those Mickey Mouse ear umberellas. He was looking right at us! :earseek: It made my day. I am sure that happens all the time but to us it was special. I will never forget it! It was Magical! :wizard:
