What is your absolutely I will never forget moment at Disney?

My dd loves Snow White so, dd was excited to see her in the Share a Dream Come True Parade. DD squealed "It's Snow White, It's Snow White ". DD blew her a kiss and Snow White blew one back and I have the pictures to prove it:goodvibes .

I've mentioned this story before but I hope you don't mind my sharing it again. As a child I loved the Mickey Mouse Club and wanted so much to see Disneyland, but, as in many families, it wasn't affordable. So, as an adult I made sure I got to Walt Disney World. After that, I saved my pennies for a couple of years to take my Mom and Dad. Mother and I had never gotten along very well and, as was her habit, she tried to get out of going. For once, my Dad put his size ten foot down and insisted she go. All the way there she complained. Entering the Magic Kingdom, when I hoped she might be "transformed", she complained. I was miserable and decided this was a huge mistake. We walked down Main Street and through the castle and suddenly my Mother grabbed my arm and gasped loudly! I looked at her...she was looking at the Carousel and tears came to her eyes. "Oh," she exclaimed, please can we ride it?" My Darling Pop and I exchanged smiles, grabbed Mom and hustled to the ride. We thought (as she was in her 80's by then) that she would be content to sit on one of the benches...nope, we had to hoist her up on the prettiest horse she could find, with Dad right next to her. I can still see her smile! Neither Dad nor I had any idea of her love for carousels. From that moment on, our relationship changed...not only during our vacation, but for the rest of her life. She may be gone now, but, believe me, whenever I walk through that castle, she's always in my heart!

My 40th Birthday - watching the Wishes fireworks from the California Grill :D

The time my daughter left her 2 special toys behind a hoop dee doo and someone drove them back to AKL and they were waiting on the bed for us when we arrived with a note :)

Cali Grill is our favorite memory too....DW and I watched the fireworks from there after a WONDERFUL meal on the first night of our Sep 03 trip, with a thunderstorm rumbling about 20 miles in the distance. Amazing.

Oh, Oh, and dinner at the Rose n' Crown on the same trip with front row seats for Illuminations.

My will never forget moment at disney is: We just finished lunch at cosmic rays, when we exited the building buzz lightyear was off to the side doing a character greet. My ds (2 1/2 at the time) saw buzz and started saying"look buzz is real, buzz is real!!". dd chimed in " I told he was real I told you!" We proceeded to wait in line to get pics and to see the exressions on their faces was priceless. I love that picture.

This was the best post in the whole thread. Thank you so much for sharing this.. it shows how much magic there really is at WDW. :goodvibes

I started this thread to ease the pain of not being at WDW this week, because we are usually there over Spring Break. While reading some of these memories, I actually get the goosebumps and the throatlumps and the tears. I have said it before, and I will say it again. Visiting and sharing on the DIS boards is the next best thing to being at Disney. Keep your moments coming they are all wonderful.

My 3 yr old DD looking for MicMouse as we walked up mainstreet to the castle. My 9yr old DS anticipating Tower of Terror!! Ohhhhh I cant wait till May!! :cool1:

I took my niece for her first trip when she was 4. I was lucky enough to get PS for Cindy's and she was sooo excited, and kept talking about it. When we got there she was unable to speak to any of the Princesses. She could nod her head to answer her questions but she was simply too awe-struck to speak.

I have a tie for first place.

My two favorite memories are the first time each of my kids rounded the corner, looked up Main Street and saw the castle.

Ds was two the first time he saw it. I came prepared. I had my video camera ready, and was walking slumped over to get the camera at his level. The look on his face was amazing. Unfortunately, I realized a little while later that while the viewfinder could see live images through the lense, the camera was not recording any video onto the tape.

This past October, DD (also two at the time) had the same look on her face. This time though, the camera worked.

I love your picture in front of the Partners statue. I am going to have to get that photo with me and my grandson. It is really cool.

My favorite memory was watching Wishes for the first time. My hubby is a Marine and was deployed in Iraq. My DD and I went to celebrate our birthdays. While we were watching, she said "I bet Daddy can even see these". Of course, I got teary. He was with us in spirit a lot that trip. We had gone for the first time as a family a year earlier so everything brought back happy memories. We did a lot of things for Daddy, riding his favorite ride, saying Hello to certain characters, etc. It was a wonderful trip and now He is Home so everything is wonderful!

My then girlfriend and I work with marching bands and one of the bands invited us to go to WDW with them over Thanksgiving 2004 (Her first trip my 5th). It was our first day and we were set to go to Fantasmic! that evening. My girlfriend was raised on Disney movies and everything but she found it cliche and childish to believe in the "magic" that WDW has. We were watching the show and when they brought Beauty and the Beast out she started crying which then turned in to a real cry fest. I leaned over kissed her on the forehead and I asked what was wrong. She replied "Its Magical". Of course that got me going. Hehehe. She is now my fiance and of course our honeymoon. Walt Disney World and the Disney Cruise Line! I'll never forget that.

Nothing like sitting around on a Wednesday morning, bawling my eyes out as I read the Disney Boards. I think I am sick. Only been to WDW once, back in '92 and don't really remember much about it because we didn't have any extra money and couldn't even buy a drink. So anxious to come home with memories like these.

Thanks to everyone for writing them down for those that haven't been able to have our own, yet.

Mary

When I was there in August 2004 for my bday the day after Hurricane Charley. I was at MK I went into the Expo Hall saw a couple characters. Next thing everyone's singing me happy birthday! I got some great pics too!

On my last trip this past February at Cape May Cafe. I had all the characters at my table! It was too funny!!! Chip, Dale and Goofy were flirting with me. Goofy even went thru my autograph book, judging every character! Can't wait to see how the pics turned out! :)

I didn't have time to read all the other posts yet, but I'll add mine to the list!

Our first trip to WDW with our 2 dd (then ages 4 and 2 1/2). They'd never been on a roller coaster or to DW. We took them on Goofy's Barnstormer and I will never forget the giggles that came from them during the ride. The laughter was from the deepest part of their soul and it instantly brought tears to my eyes. It was a joy they'd never experienced...and we keep going back every year for more of it!

my special moments most were from 1 trip. My parents took me as a surprise for my first trip in 1987 when i graduated from Jr. High. I will never forget seeing the castle for the first time and seeing Mickey himself. I wanted a pic but found out my parents forgot a camera :earseek: before my eyes got to blur Mickey autographed my map. Lol i still have that map.

seeing Epcots world showcase was fun my parents had been to most of the places that world showcase had at that time and they adored the details.

My mom's face when seeing the EMSP for the first time. When I hear the music on cd's or anywhere i get transported to that happy time.

I have been to WDW many time that was the only time my mom went and she passed in 1998 I still go to WDW and when i see the things she saw that 1 trip i just smile and remember that that she tighted my braces before that trip and I couldn't really eat my german food at the beirgarten when it was a resturant and not a buffet :rotfl2:

There have been so many . . . After having totally 'blown' our 25th anniversary - my husband with the help of my dgf - gave me an 'event' in the Magic Kingdom - sparkling cider, bride & groom ears, cake , roses, glass slipper, the whole 9 yards, just in time for the fireworks. You better believe I forgave him! :goodvibes

Going to Disney brings out the kid in all of us. We don't have to act adult there if we don't want to. We can all be "insert age her" that perfect child age we wish we still were.
